- The college is located near the jetty you can see the beautiful view of water strait ,ship.
- The college has very greenery. Covered around by tree. And inside campus also trees are planted in good ratio.
Dislikes
- The social life is not so good. You have less time for social interaction. You need to manage you time very much.
- The freedom is not there to go outside the college as hostel is inside the campus only. So strictness is there very much.
Remarks :
This is the best government college for bsc nautical science.written test is there for admission which is called IMUCET . Imucet rank decides the admission in college.cut-off is different for different caste.for general you need to be in whithin 2500-3000, for obc within 6000-7000, for ews category it is nearly same as obc and in some case can go upto 7500, for sc/st it can go upto 10000-12000 depending upon the number of cadets. There are branches of indian maritime University you can get other branches as well that solely depends upon your rank .you can fill preference at time of registration, there is 2-3 list come For IMUCET you get college according to your rank and preferences 2-3 main list come and then there is further list only if seats are vacant. just study 11 and 12 syllabus everything will be from 11-12th. no extra coaching or anything required for clearing this exam. You can learn free on youtube .
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this cource because i want to become a deck officer in merchant navy.the faculty in indian maritime University navi mumbai campus is qualified as most of the faculty in campus are captain of ship, there practical and theoretical knowledge about the ship helps in studying the subjects easy and fast. Teaching is done in campus both practically and theoretically so that you can learn easly. time to time test are taken to check learning and one semester exam is taken. difficulty level is not fixed many time it is easy and many time it hard to pass also. The fee is did not get increased very frequently fee was same from the time the college starts its operation till 2023, it was hiked recently in 2023, it will not get increase for coming year according to my knowledge. There is no scholarship for boys, girls get 1 lakh scholarship in year.
Internships Opportunities :
There is no concept of internship for any course in merchant navy neither for bsc nautical science. There is direct job for deck officer . After which you will become 3rd officer, 2nd officer, chief officer and then captain
Placement Experience :
Placement is very good as it is top government college for bsc nautical science. Eligibility is different for every company come .it get changed for different situations. Just you should not have any backlog in subject. Decent marks will give you good placement.top recruiters are synergy, Pacific basin, nyk,fleet management and many more best companies. basic offer will be more than 500 dollar for deck cadet which will surely increase when become officer. you cannot pursue if you do bsc nautical science any other job jone other then deck officer will be of no use . Be very much sure before pursuing this course.
Campus Life :
College life is within the college premises, everyone has to live in college provided hostel( hostel fees is included in semester fee) you are not allowed to go outside college untill any severe circumstances come. Only sunday holiday is given for limited time 6-7 hours. Sports activity take place frequently. different ground is there for different sports. Sports meet is there between campus. College fest there around feb and march. the books are provided in the college itself no extra charge is taken. Classroom is normal projector there fan is there. There are not many clubs. It is a merchant navy college so mainly focus will be only on studies and practicals. Hostel has included mess, no extra charge is taken for mess, food quality is good.

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track

Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.

The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .

engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
