Honest review on Zakir Hussain Delhi College

- The new building of the college is quite big. It's a 7 or 8 storey building.
- College has a very big and mainted auditorium
Dislikes
- At my time new building was not in operation and the condition of old was not to bad but neither it was a must having experience
- The religious side of my college, let me explain this my college was Zakir Hussain , the mostly population of this college was Muslim in students also in the teaching and non teaching staff in college. This always leads to dispute and any bad day for fights also.
Remarks :
This college is one of the oldest colleges in Delhi University. This college has a good infrastructure. I got admission there on behalf of my board marks. The admission process was pretty simple at that time. It didn't ask for too many things.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Taking about my course, was BA prog(eco +his). Both these subjects were taught throughout 3 years and two extra subjects. All the exams were on time (Including online at covid time) as exams were conducted by DU.
Internships Opportunities :
As I mentioned above, there were no such things. My college didn't provide ant sort of internship or any other opportunities for any exposure. It just gave me knowledge of 4 subjects in depth. Internship in BA is a myth.
Placement Experience :
So my graduation course was BA and placement after BA is a very difficult thing on what basis any company will pick you. In BA we get a deep knowledge of subjects but for job, you need skills that eventually BA doesn't provide.
Campus Life :
There was no such thing as called fest in my college. But farewell was pretty good. The college auditorium is very decent it is one of the best auditoriums in DU and it has a good space. Neither sport was there. And sorry to Neither there was a hostel.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
