The factors that made me choose Sri Venkateswara college were the academic reputation, the prime location, and the diversity of courses offered here. The admission process is done by the CUET exams but it's only been happening since after I joined college. Apart from that there are no other processes for admission.
I chose this course since it's one of the flagship courses in sciences honors at Delhi university, the teaching methodology of the faculty was commendable including extensive lectures and practical classes. The difficulty of these was mediocre and the minimal fees allowed the course very accessible.
I hadn't opted for any placements during college. But I did roles offered off-campus. However, there is an annual internship fair that conducts placement drives on campus. Where it is often not too difficult to attain an internship.
Placement & Internships in the college is sub-par which is not unheard of in Delhi University. The minimum eligibility criteria are keeping good scores throughout college and attending PlaceCom Seminars regularly. The highest package offered was 24LPA in the analytics & consulting firms. Only a small minority of the college population chooses to sit for placements but most people like me prefer higher studies.
The campus life is amazing due to the prime location and cosmopolitan diverse culture within the college. The library is 2 storeyed with a dedicated journal and citation hall. The rest of the amenities including canteen and infra were commendable as well. There are plenty of sports and extracurricular activities that happen on campus and there are over a dozen clubs to choose from to interact with fellow collegemates.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
