i always thought to get admission outside from my state and thats y i choose this college and here cut offs are very simple by 50 percent youll get admitted and you have to give one exam before you get admission and those exams are so easy
Course Curriculum Overview :
i choose btech civil because i love this course everything is perfect including faculty and staffs exams are considered to be normal then others college minimal fees you will get waiver if you are from outside of assam and there are many scholarships scheme you can get
Placement Experience :
eligibility to get placement is very easy you have to scored atleast 60 percent in your final exam then definitely youll be eligible like amazon byzuss huge reputed companies are came to visit 20 to 30 lakhs are average package you can get easily.90 percent students are getting placed in our campus to get job so i can help my parents
Campus Life :
we are celebrating euphism robot fest and many more lots of activities are conducted here you can get various types of books here in library sports is very common here youll see football cricket badminton etc social group running by student named panchi is like group here hosteller no need to be worried hostel foods are average here to get admission in hostel need to contact the warden here and to get pg or room you have to find in near campus called azara

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
