I chose Ramjas College because it is one of the best commerce colleges in India. It is a North Campus college of Delhi University which attracts toppers from all around the country. The college is famous for its notable alumni who are famous actors, directors, journalists, writers, news anchors, politicians, IAS officers, ministers etc. Admission Process:- We had an MCQ-based entrance examination called as Common University Entrance Test. The exam consists of various sections like Language, General Tests, and a combination of subjects studied in Class 12th. The exam is of moderate to high difficulty level and is conducted by NTA. The cut-off for the best colleges at Delhi University is on the higher side. For eg: I got Ramjas College at 760/800 as a Gen category student. I prepared subjects by revising my Class 11th and 12th syllabus, Language (English) & General Test from YouTube. One should prepare to keep in mind the MCQ format of the asked. Also, negative markings are there in the CUET exam.
I chose B.Com but I have always been inclined towards commerce. I wanted to gain in-depth knowledge of accounts, economics and finance. Moreover, the job opportunities are also comparatively higher in this field. We have highly educated faculty at the college. They are themselves the writers of the books they teach, which suggests their very strong hold on the subjects. They teach through class lectures, assignments, real-life case scenarios, group presentations and tests, which helps in building a good foundation of subjects before the main exams. The theory exams are mainly for 90 marks apart from the practical exams. These exams are of average difficulty level. The fee hike policy is quite reasonable. As compared to other colleges, the fees for studying here are significantly less, making it very affordable for everyone. Various merit-based and need-based scholarships are available at our college. Some of these are offered by DU while others are offered by the college itself.
Students become eligible for sitting in Campus placements after completion of Sem 4 exams & can join after graduating. Companies such as Deloitte, Wipro, EY, Morgan Stanley, De Shaw & Co, Walmart, PWC, Accenture, Mother Dairy etc took place in the college's most recent placement drive. The average package around: 7.4 LPA Highest CTC range up to 21 LPA If no campus placement is offered, one can go for off-campus placements and approach people and companies through LinkedIn. They may also go for Higher Education such as MCom, MBA or any professional courses such as CA, CPA, CFA, FRM etc. After getting the degree, I plan to go for my CA Articleship as I have already cleared both groups of CA Inter. So as of now, I am not considering placements after college.
The college has provided me with an amazing opportunity of networking with like-minded people. The campus life has been thrilling from attending classes to working in various societies, attending workshops, events and fests. Mosaic Fest, conducted in May. Diwali Mela is conducted in November. Various departmental and society fests take place throughout the year. Many competitions are also organized for students to showcase their skills. The classrooms are well maintained, have airy windows, 8-10 fans and all the modern facilities. There is an indoor gym, volleyball court, badminton court, Table Tennis, many lawns and two large playgrounds for fitness and sports enthusiasts. The Entrepreneurship and Career Development Cells etc are creating a great impact on student life.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
