- Infrastructure is very old and looks like hasn't been renovated since ages.
- Campus is very small as compared to other medical colleges.
Remarks :
I scored 551 marks out of 720 in NEET exam 2020 . CIMS was the best option available through ews quota . So i opted for it . CIMS is also the second top college in chhattisgarh just next to JNMC raipur in college rankings.
Course Curriculum Overview :
MBBS is a very great course to pursue as a career and i am really enjoying it.( I am in the final year now) First 2 years are a bit tough especially the first year as they have only non clinical and paraclinical subjects like anatomy, physiology and biochemistry in the first year and pathology pharmacology and microbiology in the second year. They are quite tough to understand and imagine. From 3rd year it becomes a little easier as the subjects become clinical like ENT, and Ophthalmology. They are really fun to study subjects. PSM is the only subject i hated the most . Final year has been the best for me so far as it has all the clinical subjects . Some of the Faculty are really really good and are very knowledgeable. Some are just like come to class read the slide and just done doesn't care much about students. But such people are everywhere right..?!! College offers scholarship of arround 40-50k per year to the students belonging to sc/st/obs categories.
Internships Opportunities :
We have to do one year compulsory internship after completion of our course that is 4.5 years. This makes our course duration 5.5years ( 4.5 proff years+ 1 year of internship) in which we get a monthly stipend of 16000?
Placement Experience :
Almost everyone gets the job and placement after completion of 5.5yrs of mbbs (including internship) . We have a mandatory bond to the government for providing service in the rural areas for 2 years in which we get a monthly income of 60,000-70,000? . It can also go higher depending on the region we are posted in .
Campus Life :
Campus life is good . As we have every necessary thing to keep ourselves engaged and busy throughout the day and lot of events and a fest called RHYTHM happens every once year(if possible) to make our life a little happening.
Hostel Facilities :
There are total 3 hostel campuses . 2 are for boys and 1 for girls. 2 hostels are in campus one for boys and 1 for girls and other one is outside campus where only first year boys stay..!! Hostel fees is very nominal just. 3500rs per annum . In 1st year we have to stay 3 in a room . But from second year it becomes 2 person per room. Rooms are spacious and have basic facilities like bed , table chair , fan , light, almirah. Although bathroom and toiled is common. Boys Hostel has a badminton court , table tennis, carrom and a gymnasium. It also has 3 mess you can join wherever you want . Wherever the taste suits you. We also have stadium where there basketball and volleyball court and a footsal court .

I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. All lectures are done in proper classrooms and study materials are also provides digitally. There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .

Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
