I was a biology student in my senior secondary education so I gave the entrance in 2022 for aiims nursing and secured a rank of 1040 and got into AIIMS Rishikesh, I opted for this because it has the best in nursing education and is pretty affordable with good professors, exposure, campus, and hostels. It's kind of free, you just have to clear the entrance.
The course is pretty good and has a good scope in the future for obvious reasons as the medical field is a growing field globally. You can be a nursing officer in AIIMS or any other government set up, you can be a clinical instructor or nursing professor. nursing also has a good scope abroad.
They have 6 months of attached internship in their course with a 14.5k stipend per month. So you don't have to go or find another paid or hectic internship. They provide you with a paid internship with full flexibility.
You can be a government nursing officer in AIIMS or any government setup if you clear the entrance NORCET. You can also work in private clinics or old age homes. Nursing has a great scope abroad and in Indian defense services also.
There are no tuition and hostel fees, they just ask for 5000 at the time of admission for 4 years and then there is no tuition, hostel, or any other kind of fees, mess fees are around 2k-2.5k for every month but besides that, there are no annual or any fees. it is pretty affordable but you have to clear the entrance then the campus college clinical exposure, good hostels, water electricity are all yours. Just perks of being in AIIMS.
Social life is good. They have 2 festivals in a year, that is Invicta which is an intercollege fest, and Pyrexia the biggest annual intercollege fest. Apart from that they have all kinds of sports activities and equipment, A gym if you want to join and various cultural events take place throughout the year from Republic Day to Holi to Christmas and New Year.
Campus Life is good, they have a huge campus like really huge campus. A general store, Nescafe, and a common mess with all the stuff are around the corner. Hostel rooms are big enough by normal hostel rooms. They have a common washroom and the mess is quite decent, it is also pretty affordable with 2k-2.5k per month with three-time meals and two times of tea/coffee.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
