The main factor that there were lots of reviews on Google and Quora saying that the College has good placements. And the fees for the MBA program in the college is more affordable than most of the others with similar placement capabilities.
I choose this course because I wanted to get into Finance, but after coming here My mind said Marketing is more in my zone. Most of the Faculty has a P.hD. and some are still pursuing it. Most of the teachers know what they are teaching while some are so lost that you keep yawning in their class. Exams were timely as well, MSTs were easy enough though the exams from University are usually medium level, though the university fails the students even though you have written everything just to get money from Retests and Re evaluations.
I did apply under an internship but it was given to me by the Placement Department and they took a fees of 6000 rupees for that. My internship company was Sensation Software Solutions and my role under the company was of Digital Marketing Intern.
Eligibility criteria for placement is 75% attendance in your recent semester. No company has visited us yet as placements are going to begin soon. They say the first companies that visit are of Sales. Then few big companies start visiting like Deloitte and KPMG, then the Banks and Insurance Companies starts visiting us.
Each semester we have to pay around 55000-60000 rupees for our degree. In the 2nd Semester they changed the fees amount even when it was told different while admission. Lots of arguments happened and eventually everyone gave up and cleared the fees amount. For admission they take 11000 in advance to book your seat, which they adjust it later in 1st sem fees.
There's a Fresher's Fest, usually conducted right after admissions are done, in the month of August or September. Then there's Youth Fest, which is in October. Then Parivartan (which is the biggest fest of the year), happens in November. Books are available in the library. Has a 21 days cooldown period on them, so you have to return before 21 days. Basketball, cricket, badminton and other sports ground are there. There are many groups and clubs run by the students like Tech Amigos (the Coding and Technology club).
Hostel is probably the best part of this college especially Sukhsagar Hostel. Food is usually same every week though there are some Variations in between. They give sweets after the end of meal everyday. Food quality is 90% good. Registration process is you have to call the warden and ask them process on how to proceed. Locality is fine, as hostel is inside the college premises. Shops and Market is near also.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
