Gangadhar meher university, a path to success

What I Liked

There are nice big fields for sports for student
There are also different type of event holding areas like quadrangal

What I didn’t like

Nature sometimes gets interrupted due to I will ability of different tea shops where the cell cigarettes
Teacher and faculties of ten get distracted and not get focus more on student studies

The faculty is really student friendly as they try to keep bringing new ideas for students and try to provide more and more facilities for students so that they can study even better or their future and

Remarks:

Factors like distance from my house availability of asset for students behaviour of college faculty transportation and so much other factors help me in getting into this college and I'll really appreciated

The overall information about GMU

What I Liked

The classroom environment is great the ground area is beautiful and peaceful
The auditorium is also very well structured, campus life is great too

What I didn’t like

The only thing I dislike abt my campus is the distance i had to travel from one building to other

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is helpful for my career and the faculty is good too as I selected bcom its help me for my CA preparation, banking entrance exams, and it would help me if i apply for financial department in any company as I done my honours in Accounting

Remarks:

This college is one of the top college in my state plus it’s in walking distance from my home there was no exam for admission but the cut off was of 80%, the selection list release in 3 sets the first set is of the candidates who scored marks more than or equal to the cut-off

Review about GMU

What I Liked

College infrastructure is good. But in some places there are old buildings. Campus Life is peaceful. No ragging No bullying. Clean campus.
Environment is good here. One can focus on studies well.

What I didn’t like

Some of the old buildings are not good like the old department buildings.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculties are good and helping. They are well trained and highly qualified PhD holders. In a Year there are two semesters and in each semester the internals alias Midterm exam and the End term which is the main exam held. Difficulty level of the exam is moderate to hard. But the faculties are good they discuss the important questions with students.

Remarks:

I chose this college based on my Senior's experience and internet reviews. No there is no written test or interview for taking admission here. Admission is fully based on the 12th marks. One can apply for this college through SAMS Portal of Odisha Government.

A good and well education in college life is memorable

What I Liked

College infrastructure is good but not that extraordinary.
Faculties are good and so humble and student friendly.
Campus life is so amazing. You enjoyed so much by different kind of celebrations and functions.

What I didn’t like

The infrastructure is good but in terms of drinking water and hygiene it should be better
They should provide in each department there should be a hygiene toilet.

Placement Experience:

In my bachelor degree there were no placement so I can't give you appropriate information but I heard that there are placements for MBA department but not for regular bachelor or master degree students.

Remarks:

I was select this university because it is nearer to my home . In this university admission is on the basis of merit list or according to your 12th percentage. For integrated students the merit list are according to their 10th and 12th percentage togather. Good things about this university is it has library and sports department is also so good.

My College Experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

College faculty are like school teacher ???? They focus each students that what i like most main semester exam happens in every 6th month of the year. I chose cs as because i want to go to tech fields I can't go for btech because i have less mark

Almost all our family members who are scholar of that time studied in gm college. many people suggest me to take addmission because it comes in walking distance. Eligibility based on 12th mark i got selected in 3rd round with 82 %

What I Liked

Lab are good for use and classes are also done on labs
Teachers are good in nature and very helpful to students

What I didn’t like

The sanitation facility is very bad in the campus
Hostel facility is not there for the PG students.

Placement Experience:

Placement is not so good in this college and you have to find your own job by your own.some small company came to college for job and offer reasonable amount of money but not much students are being interested to take part.

Remarks:

Everyone have suggested for this college and here teachers are really good and education process is also in a proper way and it provide a good future and some seniors have suggested me to go for it and exam is given that is OJEE for the selection

Learn from mistakes

What I Liked

Library is good . Faculties are friendly
Accessibility to market, travel and availability of products .

What I didn’t like

Small ground , bad classroom , old buildings .
Less faculties , less lab equipments , no proper safety for students .

Placement Experience:

No placement or job opportunity . The university don't have any placement cell or no companies come for recruitment. I am now doing joint msc phd in IIT BBS. In physics honours . Higher studies is my plan

Remarks:

It's totally merit based selection . Based on the 10th and 12 th marks The place is located at the center of the city , travel and places to buy accessories are available easily. Good place to roam and well accessible place.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculties are very much experienced and trained. Some professors are very much experienced and educated. The curriculum is based on CBCS model of education in which u have 6 semester and a total of 2600 marks exam in 3 years

Remarks:

It's near our town. The university is in the middle of the town and all the facilities are available near the university gate. All the travelling facilities are also available near university and u don't need to take tension.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen the course of political science because I have been interested in politics since my childhood and wanted to know more about the political processes in our country. In our political science department, every faculty was very cooperative and understanding. The fee of the course was around 5000 rupees per year. Three years around 15000.

Remarks:

The admission process was very easy and hassle-free. You simply have to visit the SAMS website as the university is associated with and apply for courses of your choice. Then within 1-2 weeks, the merit list will be published after that you can submit your documents and get admission.

Yes, we have got placement every year regarding our performance, And yes college also gives us a good Education for placement, Every year we work on different projects to show College life and for our interns and Placements,

No, there is no written examination or any GD, We apply here Online, and the basics of the marks we get selected it has also a small interview got learn our knowledge and mostly see our Marks in previous exams.
