DMCE Admission Process

Most BE seats at DMCE are allotted through the Centralised Admission Process conducted by DTE Maharashtra. After the CAP rounds, the college prepares its own merit list to fill the smaller Institute Level quota. Admission requirements differ for BE, ME and PhD applicants.

BE Admission

  • Eligibility: Applicants need 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Physics, Chemistry and Biology are also accepted for AI/DS. The minimum aggregate is 45% for the General Category and 40% for reserved categories.
  • Entrance Exam: A valid MHT-CET or JEE Main score is required.
  • Process: Students register on the DTE Maharashtra portal, complete document verification, submit their college choices, take part in 3 CAP seat-allotment rounds and report to the allotted college.
  • IL Quota: Once the CAP rounds finish, vacant seats are allotted through DMCE's merit list.

ME Admission

  • Eligibility: A BE/BTech degree in a related discipline with at least 50% aggregate is necessary.
  • Entrance Exam: Applicants must have a valid GATE or MAH-ME-CET score.
  • Process: ME seats are filled through DTE Maharashtra CAP, followed by allotment under the Institute Level quota.

Ph.D. Admission

PhD applicants must have an ME/MTech qualification with 55% marks. Selection begins with the University of Mumbai doctoral entrance process. DMCE then conducts a departmental interview and reviews the applicant's research proposal.

DMCE Cutoffs

DMCE's MHT-CET Round 1 closing percentiles for General Category applicants varied by BE branch in 2025. Computer Engineering had the highest figure among the three branches listed, followed by Information Technology and Civil Engineering. Students seeking Computer Engineering or IT generally need a strong MHT-CET score.

BE Branch Category and Round 2025 Closing Percentile
Computer Engineering General Category, CAP Round 1 92.85 percentile
Information Technology General Category, CAP Round 1 91.55 percentile
Civil Engineering General Category, CAP Round 1 73.45 percentile

DMCE Placements
