Petroleum Engineering, Mining Engineering and CSE (AI and Data Science) receive strong demand during REAP counselling and have recorded high placement outcomes. Annual hostel charges range from INR 29,500 to 31,500 for boys and INR 30,000 to 32,000 for girls.

MBM Admission Process

MBM uses different entrance tests and selection methods for its undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Applicants must meet the relevant academic requirements before taking part in counselling or university selection.

B.E. and B.Arch

B.E. seats are allotted through REAP counselling according to JEE Main scores. B.Arch applicants must qualify through NATA, JEE Main and REAP, while Bachelor of Planning admission uses JEE Main and REAP.

  • Complete Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or a Technical Vocational subject. The minimum is 45%, reduced to 40% for SC, ST and OBC applicants.
  • Obtain a valid JEE Main score. The REAP rank is used for B.E. seat allocation.
  • Reservation follows Rajasthan rules for OC, OBC (NCL), OBC (CL), SC, ST, EWS, PH and ex-servicemen categories.
  • Register online for REAP, enter and lock course choices, accept the seat allotment, complete document checks, pay the fee and confirm admission.

B.Arch applicants need Mathematics in Class 12 with 50% marks. Bachelor of Planning applicants must have studied Mathematics in Class 12.

M.E., MBA and MCA

For M.E., applicants need a B.E. or B.Tech in the relevant field and are considered through a GATE score and university merit. MBA applicants must hold a bachelor degree with 50% and submit a valid CAT, MAT or CMAT score. The university publishes the MBA merit list. MCA selection is based on RMCAAT or university merit, and applicants must have a bachelor degree with Mathematics.

PhD

PhD applicants must have an M.E., M.Tech or equivalent qualification with at least 55%. Selection requires a relevant GATE or UGC-NET score. MBM announces the available research seats separately for each department every year.

MBM Cutoff

REAP ranks decide B.E. seat allotment at MBM. CSE generally has a competitive cutoff, while Petroleum Engineering and Mining Engineering also attract strong demand because of their placement results.

ProgrammeCategoryTypical REAP Rank Range
B.E. CSEGeneralTop 1,500 to 2,000 ranks

Petroleum Engineering and Mining Engineering draw applicants from across Rajasthan, which increases competition for their REAP seats.

MBM Placements

The Training and Placement Cell coordinates recruitment at MBM. The 2025-26 placement cycle recorded an overall average package of INR 6.58 LPA and a highest offer of INR 16 LPA. In 2024-25, 356 students were placed at a 70% placement rate, with Petroleum Engineering receiving the highest package of INR 20.71 LPA.
