The Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University popularly known as (CCSHAU) is located in Hisar, Haryana, and is one of Asia’s 10 best agricultural universities. CCSHAU was located in the campus of the Punjab Agricultural University but became an autonomous institution òn February 2, 1970, after the formation of Haryana.

  • To get admission to their UG and PG courses, students have to clear ICAR-AIEEA.
  • The Institute invites UG, PG, and Ph.D. applicants who are Haryana residents and have cleared ICAR-AIEEA to apply for vacant and leftover seats by submitting their ICAR-AIEEA scorecard and supporting documents.
  • Online applications are also invited for vacant/left over seats in B.Tech ( Agricultural Engineering) programme. Admissions will be given on the basis of the score obtained in JEE for B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering). CCSHAU Hisar: Scholarships 

For Master’s Programme, following stipends are offered:

  • A student enrolled for Master’s programme (except for MBA, M.Sc.- FST, MBB & Bioinformatics) and who has a CGPA of 7.0/10.00 at the time of admission for 1st semester and subsequently maintains a CGPA of 7.5/10.00 shall be awarded a monthly stipend Rs. 6000.
  • A monthly stipend of Rs. 3000 per head per month will be offered to non-inservice students who are not receiving a merit stipend or any other monetary aid.
  • A monthly merit stipend of Rs. 6000/month and Rs. 3000/month to 10% of students enrolled for M.Sc. -FST, MBB and Bioinformatics subject to CGPA requirements.
  • A monthly merit stipend of Rs. 1000 per month to 10% of students enrolled for MBA subjects who fulfill the CGPA requirements.

For Ph.D. programme:

  • A monthly merit stipend of Rs. 10000 per month will be given to non-inservice students who possess at the time of admission and or constantly maintain thereafter a minimum CGPA 3.5/4.00 or 7.5 under 10 point scale.
  • Rs. 5000 stipend per head per month will be given to non-inservice students (except MBB) who are not in receipt of any fellowship or merit stipend.

Other Fellowship

The students are also competing for JRF/SRF offered by the ICAR, the CSIR and the UGC., fellowship ranges from Rs.8640 P.M. (JRF) for M.Sc. to Rs.15, 000 P.M. (SRF) for Ph.D. students from the ICAR; Rs. 15,000 P.M. (JRF for 2 years) to Rs.17, 500 P.M. (SRF for 3 year) for Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (only for SC students) from the UGC. Ans: There are five colleges affiliated to CCS HAU, Hisar. These are the College of Agriculture (Hisar), College of Agriculture (Kaul), College of Agriculture (Bawal), College of Home Science (Hisar), College of Basic Science (Hisar), and Agricultural Engineering College (Hisar). Almost 15% of seats in agricultural universities are reserved for those who clear this test. The Banaras Hindu University conducts its own entrance for agriculture. Every state also conducts their own entrance test for admission to agriculture college.

Ques: Is it possible to take direct admission to B.Sc in agriculture without taking an entrance test?

Ans: The University’s library called Nehru library offers 3.73 lakh volumes of books, bound volumes of journals and other documents for students and researchers.
