Ranchi University Admission 2026 is available for UG, B.Tech, MBBS, MD/MS and PG courses through its constituent and affiliated colleges in Jharkhand. UG courses use CUET-UG scores or Class 12 merit, while B.Tech admission is through JCECE or JEE Main scores.

For most UG programmes, the university examination and registration fee is INR 1,150 per year. MBBS admission in affiliated medical colleges is based on NEET-UG through MCC and Jharkhand state counselling.

Ranchi University UG Admission 2026

Ranchi University offers UG admission for 2026-27 through CUET-UG scores or Class 12 marks. CUET-UG score holders are given preference, and students without CUET may be considered on Class 12 merit if seats are available.

Ranchi University UG Selection Criteria 2026

Seat allotment gives first preference to CUET-UG candidates. Class 12 merit is used for other eligible students. Jharkhand reservation rules apply, with 27% for OBC and 26% for SC/ST. Admission is confirmed only after document verification at the allotted college.

Ranchi University B.Tech Admission 2026

B.Tech admission at Ranchi University is handled by JCECEB for affiliated engineering colleges in Jharkhand. Students can apply with JCECE or JEE Main scores.

Ranchi University B.Tech Selection Criteria 2026

JCECEB runs centralised counselling for engineering seats in Jharkhand. JCECE rank holders are considered first for state quota seats, and JEE Main score holders can also take part. A Jharkhand domicile certificate is needed for the state quota.

Key Insight: Students with JEE Main scores can join JCECEB counselling for Ranchi University-affiliated engineering colleges even if they did not take JCECE.

Apply for JCECE at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in or use JEE Main 2026 scores.
After results, register for JCECEB counselling and submit college and branch choices.

Ranchi University MBBS Admission 2026

MBBS admission in Ranchi University-affiliated medical colleges is based on NEET-UG. MCC conducts counselling for 15% All India Quota seats, while the remaining 85% state quota seats are filled through Jharkhand state medical counselling.

Ranchi University MD/MS Admission 2026

MD and MS admission at Ranchi University-affiliated medical colleges is based on NEET-PG. MCC handles 50% AIQ seats, and the remaining 50% seats are filled by the Jharkhand state authority.

Jharkhand EBC Scholarship: This is for Economically Backward Class students whose family income is below INR 1,00,000 per year.
National Scholarship Portal (NSP): Students can apply for Central Merit-cum-Means and top-class education scholarships at scholarships.gov.in.

What I Liked

Well maintained and furnished college infrastructure,well trained and experienced faculties, natural environment etc
You can enjoy your life with daily new learning in clinical field.

What I didn’t like

You have to pay instalment on time and there is also late fine
You can't skip a single day of college and in case you have to take leave then you have to inform the class teacher before.

Remarks:

Low fees for such course and every one can afford and those who can't afford they can apply for education loan.and every year they will get scholarships of 60,000-80,000. Admission procedure is so easy and the staffs of this college are very helpful.

What I Liked

Campus was good sometimes you have any problem regarding admission scholarship they have common service center for that
College is good well decorated infrastructure big play ground every lab is there every classroom is digital classroom .

What I didn’t like

Teachers are not good the didn't complete our syllabus on time .
Teachers didn't teach properly. So have to face difficulty in exam.

Remarks:

In our area only one collage is there so I choose this collage. In admission process first you have to clear CEUT exam then the basis of cuet result you got admission. Exam is quit better if students are getting fail for one or two mark teacher gave them grace marks to pass the students.

The College of Studies

What I Liked

The college faculties are kind and helpful in every manner and have a friendly attitude towards the students. Their teaching prowess is fun and lively.
The infrastructure and the college in general has a vintage feel to it. The campus though small has wonderful environment with blooming trees and flowers which are aesthetically pleasing.

What I didn’t like

The college puts too much emphasis on the studies discarding the other parts of a college experience such as sports and other extracurricular activities.
The college is too adhere towards the set of rules and boundaries which makes it feel like high school all over again.

Remarks:

I was attracted to the idea of this college by its affordability and the reputation it holds as one the leading educational hub for studies after graduation. The admission process was fairly simple and straightforward. I simple put my name up for consideration and filled up the admission form with the required documents. A selection list was put up with my name on it among others. Then I simply verified my documents and paid the admission fees concluding my admission into thr college. I did not had to go through any exam or interview as such.

A detailed review of Ranchi University.

What I Liked

Curriculum, Faculty to student ratio and library are some of the positives of the University
Internships opportunities and high alumni network of the University.

What I didn’t like

Campus Life here is very poor. No canteen is present are some negative points.
Lack of hostel for all students causing students to take rented rooms and pg which are generally quite expensive.

Remarks:

It is one of the best institutes for Msc geology in the mineral-rich state of Jharkhand after ISM Dhanbad. If anybody who did not get IIT ISM for the course may opt for this. The department is almost 60 years old and it has two museums which is one of its kind. Generally, RU takes admissions through the chancellor portal and the selection of the students was totally merit based on their scores in their Bachelor. But in my case, I got admission through my score in CUET PG Exam. My name was at the top of the list.

What I Liked

College infrastructure is improving day by day and I lake that very much.
Faculty and teachers here are well trained.
It provides sports opportunities to everyone that I love.

What I didn’t like

I dislike the lack of campus selection and job opportunities.
Vehicle parking spots are very less here.

Remarks:

It’s a reputed college. No discussions, interviews or written tests were needed for admission. Just merit list according to 12th marks. It provides sports facilities and I am a sportsperson so I chose this College.

What I Liked

Campus , Classroom, infrastructure ,parking, washroom, laboratory, staff room , computer lab , environmental studies good building
Campus are not verry big but it's okk because your all time is going to classroom our college are not conduct any extra activities so this is demarit of our college when your main motive is only take a degree then you prefer this college

College are not provide smart classroom , campus are medium

The admission process in our college is quite simple and the teachers are also beneficial and provide proper guidance but here physical activities are not conducted and sports are also not the available middle-class family is also affordable in this college and study quality is good and 75% attendance is compulsory for all students
