Ranchi University is a public state University in Ranchi Jharkhand India the university was established in the year 1960. RU offers different courses in UG, PG, M.Phil, and doctorate programs. Ranchi University Admission form for 6 months certificate course under the University Department of Geology has been released. The university has also started online registration for various UG & PG programs. As of now, the University has 19 Main courses under the 622 sub-courses included. All the admission courses are either merit-based or entrance based.

Ranchi university admissions in MBA programs are done based on CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA exam marks.
M.Tech admissions are based on GATE exam marks followed by CCMT counseling.
MBBS and BDS admissions are done based on NEET-UG exam marks.
MD and MS admission is based on NEET-PG exam marks.
B.Sc and M.Sc Nursing admissions are done on the basis of merits obtained by the candidate in the previous qualifying examination.
B.Tech admissions are based on JCECE or JEE Main exam marks.
Candidates who want to get admission in B.Ed must score good marks in the entrance exam conducted by Ranchi University.
LLB program admissions are based on merits in the previous examination.

Eligibility criteria

B.Tech: Candidates must have completed their 12th from science with core subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
B.A/B.A. (Hons): candidate should have completed 12th from any stream to get admission in this programme.
B.Com/B.Com (Hons): candidates must have completed their 12th either from the science or commerce stream
B.Sc/B.Sc (Hons): students who have completed 12th from the science stream are eligible
LLB: Students with bachelor's degree in any stream from a known university are eligible
B.Ed: candidate must have bachelor's degree in any stream
MBBS and BDS: Candidates who have completed their 12th from science stream with core subjects’ physics, chemistry, and Biology and valid score in NEET UG are eligible to apply for the admission to MBBS and BDS programmes at Ranchi University.
Basic B.Sc Nursing: candidate must have passed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with at least 50% marks in aggregate
Post basic B.Sc Nursing: Students who have completed IA/ISC/ICom with a diploma in General Nursing and midwifery are eligible to apply for post basic nursing course.

Selection criteria

B.Tech: The candidates will get selected based on Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) marks or JEE Main entrance marks.
Admission to B.A./B.Com/B.Sc/LLB/B.Sc Nursing courses will be based on merit.
B.Ed: selection of the candidate in B.Ed course will be through entrance exam conducted by Ranchi University
MBBS and BDS: Selection to MBBS/BDS courses at Ranchi University is merit based and entrance exam based (NEET UG) followed by state counseling.

Eligibility criteria

M.Tech: The candidates must have completed their UG from a recognized University in a relevant field with 60% aggregate marks are eligible.
M.Sc: Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc should have a BSc degree from a government-approved university.
M.Com: The Candidates who want to get admission to M.Com need to have a degree in BCom, BBA, OR BA economics with 50% marks from a known University.
M.A: The Candidate must have a degree of BA in relevant field with 50% marks from a known University are eligible.
MBA: The candidates must complete their graduation from any stream with 50% marks are eligible.
MD and MS: The candidate must hold an MBBS degree or a provisional MBBS pass certificate with one year of internship in the same field is mandatory.

Selection Criteria

M.Tech: Selection of the candidate is based on GATE exam followed by state counseling.
M.Sc: Candidates need 50% marks in the BSc final exam and should have a good academic performance.
M.Com and MA: Final selection of the students in M.Com, MA programme will be merit-based.
MBA: The selection criteria are based on the candidate's CAT/ MAT/ CMAT or ATMA entrance exam. Apart from that candidates will get selected based on their past academic performance, work experience, group discussion, and personal interview round.
MD and MS: selection to these courses will be based on entrance exam (NEET PG).

Ranchi University PhD/M.Phil Admission 2024

Ranchi University offers M.Phil and Ph.D courses at doctorate level in various specializations. The candidates wanting to apply for M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses must have a Master’s degree in the related discipline with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. The admission to M. Phil and Ph.D. will be based on Entrance Test followed by either Counseling or Interview.

What I Liked

Well maintained and furnished college infrastructure,well trained and experienced faculties, natural environment etc
You can enjoy your life with daily new learning in clinical field.

What I didn’t like

You have to pay instalment on time and there is also late fine
You can't skip a single day of college and in case you have to take leave then you have to inform the class teacher before.

Remarks:

Low fees for such course and every one can afford and those who can't afford they can apply for education loan.and every year they will get scholarships of 60,000-80,000. Admission procedure is so easy and the staffs of this college are very helpful.

What I Liked

Campus was good sometimes you have any problem regarding admission scholarship they have common service center for that
College is good well decorated infrastructure big play ground every lab is there every classroom is digital classroom .

What I didn’t like

Teachers are not good the didn't complete our syllabus on time .
Teachers didn't teach properly. So have to face difficulty in exam.

Remarks:

In our area only one collage is there so I choose this collage. In admission process first you have to clear CEUT exam then the basis of cuet result you got admission. Exam is quit better if students are getting fail for one or two mark teacher gave them grace marks to pass the students.

The College of Studies

What I Liked

The college faculties are kind and helpful in every manner and have a friendly attitude towards the students. Their teaching prowess is fun and lively.
The infrastructure and the college in general has a vintage feel to it. The campus though small has wonderful environment with blooming trees and flowers which are aesthetically pleasing.

What I didn’t like

The college puts too much emphasis on the studies discarding the other parts of a college experience such as sports and other extracurricular activities.
The college is too adhere towards the set of rules and boundaries which makes it feel like high school all over again.

Remarks:

I was attracted to the idea of this college by its affordability and the reputation it holds as one the leading educational hub for studies after graduation. The admission process was fairly simple and straightforward. I simple put my name up for consideration and filled up the admission form with the required documents. A selection list was put up with my name on it among others. Then I simply verified my documents and paid the admission fees concluding my admission into thr college. I did not had to go through any exam or interview as such.

A detailed review of Ranchi University.

What I Liked

Curriculum, Faculty to student ratio and library are some of the positives of the University
Internships opportunities and high alumni network of the University.

What I didn’t like

Campus Life here is very poor. No canteen is present are some negative points.
Lack of hostel for all students causing students to take rented rooms and pg which are generally quite expensive.

Remarks:

It is one of the best institutes for Msc geology in the mineral-rich state of Jharkhand after ISM Dhanbad. If anybody who did not get IIT ISM for the course may opt for this. The department is almost 60 years old and it has two museums which is one of its kind. Generally, RU takes admissions through the chancellor portal and the selection of the students was totally merit based on their scores in their Bachelor. But in my case, I got admission through my score in CUET PG Exam. My name was at the top of the list.

What I Liked

College infrastructure is improving day by day and I lake that very much.
Faculty and teachers here are well trained.
It provides sports opportunities to everyone that I love.

What I didn’t like

I dislike the lack of campus selection and job opportunities.
Vehicle parking spots are very less here.

Remarks:

It’s a reputed college. No discussions, interviews or written tests were needed for admission. Just merit list according to 12th marks. It provides sports facilities and I am a sportsperson so I chose this College.

Campus are not verry big but it's okk because your all time is going to classroom our college are not conduct any extra activities so this is demarit of our college when your main motive is only take a degree then you prefer this college

College are not provide smart classroom , campus are medium

The admission process in our college is quite simple and the teachers are also beneficial and provide proper guidance but here physical activities are not conducted and sports are also not the available middle-class family is also affordable in this college and study quality is good and 75% attendance is compulsory for all students
