NMIMS Mumbai conducts Admission 2027 for programmes such as MBA and B.Tech at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. The 2-year MBA fee is INR 25,00,000 as per 2025-26 fee data, while B.Tech fees range from INR 14,80,000 to INR 18,00,000 depending on the branch.

Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering handles B.Tech admission at NMIMS Mumbai. Students must take NCET, which means NMIMS Common Entrance Test. JEE Main scores are not used at any NMIMS campus. NRI and international applicants can submit SAT or ACT scores instead of NCET.

For B.Tech selection, NMIMS gives equal importance to the entrance test and Class 12 marks. The final merit score uses 50% NCET score and 50% Class 12 PCM aggregate marks.

NCET format: The test is computer-based and lasts 120 minutes. It has Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Logical Intelligence, and Language Proficiency. There is no negative marking.
Attempts: Students get one main attempt and up to two retakes in one cycle. The highest score is counted.
Counselling: Counselling is held online on the NMIMS portal. Students choose their campus and branch preferences during this stage.

NMIMS School of Law, Mumbai offers BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) as 5-year integrated law programmes. Students can apply through CLAT, conducted by the CLAT Consortium, or through NLAT, which is the NMIMS Law Admission Test. NMIMS also offers LLM programmes in six specialisations through a separate admission process.

NMIMS Mumbai MBA Admission 2027

SBM NMIMS Mumbai offers MBA Core, MBA Human Resources, MBA Business Analytics, MBA Digital Transformation, and MBA Pharmaceutical Management for the 2027-29 batch. NMAT by GMAC is compulsory for all five MBA options. After the NMAT shortlist, selected students must attend the Competency Assessment Test and Personal Interview at the Mumbai campus.

Students must also complete the NMIMS Step 2 application after taking NMAT. This application is separate from registration on the GMAC portal.

NMIMS MBA admission has three stages. There is no group discussion. The Competency Assessment Test has the highest weight in the final composite score.

Stage 1: Clear NMAT by GMAC with the overall cutoff and the sectional minimum in Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning.
Stage 2 Shortlist: NMIMS prepares the shortlist from NMAT performance. Only shortlisted students move to Stage 2 at the Mumbai campus.
Stage 2 Test: The Competency Assessment Test is computer-based and lasts 60 to 90 minutes. It covers Verbal Ability, Mental Ability, and Managerial Ability. There is no negative marking.
Stage 2 Interview: The Personal Interview lasts 15 to 20 minutes at the NMIMS campus and checks motivation, goals, and programme fit.

How to Apply for MBA at NMIMS Mumbai?

Step 1: Register on the GMAC portal at nmat.org, pay the NMAT fee, and schedule the exam.

Note: Among these three schools, NMIMS is the only one that needs a separate entrance test not shared with other B-schools. Students applying to MDI and XLRI can use CAT and XAT respectively, while NMIMS applicants must take NMAT. At NMIMS, the Competency Test takes the place of the GD used by XLRI and the Essay Writing round used by MDI.

NMIMS Mumbai Scholarships

NMIMS Mumbai provides need-cum-merit scholarships. To be eligible, students must satisfy both academic performance and family income conditions.

Eligibility: Score above the 80th percentile in the qualifying entrance exam. Family annual income must be below INR 6 lakh.
Amount for UG students: INR 1,000 per month.
Amount for PG students: INR 2,000 per month.
How to apply: After receiving the provisional admission offer, submit the scholarship form with income documents to the NMIMS admissions office.
External scholarships: Students can also apply through the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in.

Ques. Which entrance test should I take for a full-time MBA at NMIMS Mumbai?

Ans. NMIMS Mumbai accepts only NMAT by GMAC for its full-time MBA programmes. CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, and GMAT scores are not valid for these courses. Students have to register for NMAT on the GMAC portal and also complete the separate NMIMS Step 2 form at nmat.nmims.edu.

Brand reputation is what makes me course this college. There are No interview or discussion but a written exam called NPAT, under which you have to score well. There are no negative marking, so it will be easy to crack.

What I Liked

The Faculty is very supportive and knowledgeable with many professor having taught at prestigious institution like IIM A, ISB. They are also very supportive always willing to help you personally and in professional life
The corporate exposure and opportunity that one gain through summer Internship, corporate projects and Internship
The canteen and atrium are my favorite place on campus. The atmosphere feels like a vibrant food court offering a wide variety of food option. Additionally there is a piano at the center of atrium accessible to anyone who want to play it

What I didn’t like

Its only one building with no playing grounds, As a result whenever we want to play any sports we have to book a ground which mean additional expense
The Batch size is too big, so faculty cannot focus on each and every student
Even though Hostel facilities are available, they are too expensive and located 1.5 km away from college

Remarks:

I applied to other colleges as well, but this was my best call, also nmims being located at a prime location give you access to ample corporate opportunities, but still I would suggest you to prepare better in cat and get into IIMs or a better college. What I Liked

Faculties are very helpful and you get freedom to do things too.
They treat you like adults and everyone behaves in a proffesional manner

What I didn’t like

There’s no campus, just a 8 floor building which looks pretty good but thats it.

Remarks:

I was very much interested in pursuing economics as my bachelors. NMIMS had the best course structure. Written test was conducted which is common for all NMIMS courses. Cut off is high for Mumbai main campus.

All you need to know about NMIMS

What I Liked

I love the campus of the college as the college has a crawling campus in the middle of Vile Parle Juhu. It is well equipped with excellent Auditorium and canteen, which has all types of food
The college has an excellent library where you can often find student studying and reading books. All types of books and content is available here and one can feel free to borrow as per the requirements.

What I didn’t like

what I dislike about the College is that there is a bit pressure from academic point of you as the college lays high emphasis on academic rigour
Since the College is placed right in the middle of the city, there is an absence of focus on sports, and there is no football ground or other sports available in the campus

Remarks:

there is a common entrance exam for admission in this college which is known as NPAT. It is out of 120 marks and is a 100 minutes test. You are allotted admission based on your rank in this particular exam, a higher rank leads to admission in the main campus, which is in Mumbai, otherwise, there are several other campuses all over India.

What I Liked

The infrastructure is great, very well structured however not a lot of space for outdoor campus. The faculty is overall good however can be improved more. The campus in general is fun, with a lot of social engagement with other students. Various events take place throughout the year which are great. Apart from these students can engage in various workshops which are very informative and interesting
I also like the fact that our college offers our degree in a comparatively affordable price compared to its standard brand value and other courses in the college with an emphasis on the biological field of psychology

What I didn’t like

I dislike the fact the college does not provide a big campus, due to a lack of space. No grounds are present for sports and that is overall an issue for students in the college. The college is also built in the middle of the city, which is very busy and has a lot of traffic around
Another aspect is the class allotment, it usually doens't happen in the main building of our college and classes are mostly assigned in the mithibai campus building. Which is a problem for several students.

Remarks:

The admission process for the course was based on an entrance test specific for the course which included general knowledge, psychology, reasoning, etc. Interviews were not held for admissions. The admission process was smooth with not a lot of issues. Preparation for these exams can be done online through YouTube and books. The level of the test is from easy to moderate. The good aspects of the college include good course, great engagement with extracurriculars and bad aspects include, A lack of campus grounds for sports and space in general.

Brief about NMIMS school of law

What I Liked

The law school recently got a building of its own so it's really good
Faculty is good as they are experienced.

What I didn’t like

NMIMS does not offer campus life as they have couple of buildings only
Nothing else to be honest because I like my college as of now

Remarks:

Getting admission into NMIMS School of law is very easy as you have to give NLAT which has the same paper pattern as clat and if you've prepared for clat then NLAT is going to be easy for you. The good aspect of my college is that it's situated in Mumbai and the teachers are really experienced and they were once students of some of the top nlus.
