B.Des is the costliest UG programme at INR 10.47 Lakhs. It covers Automobile Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, and UI/UX Design, giving Odisha students access to a dedicated university-level design school. Diploma engineering courses in Civil, Mechanical, CSE, Electrical, Mining, Automobile, and IT cost INR 2.15 Lakhs for three years and suit students who want a vocational route before lateral entry into B.Tech.

CUTM Admission Process

CUTM Bhubaneswar uses national-level entrance scores, state entrance scores, its own entrance test, and merit-based selection depending on the course. The university states that admissions are merit-based and that it does not offer management quota seats.

B.Tech Admission

For B.Tech, CUTM Bhubaneswar accepts JEE Main, OJEE, and CUET UG. Students usually follow these steps:

• Take JEE Main in January or April, OJEE between April and May, or CUET UG.
• Submit the CUTM application at cutm.ac.in with the qualifying score and 10+2 marksheet.
• Attend merit-based counselling and seat allotment.
• Complete document checking and pay the required fee at the campus.

Odisha students can use OJEE counselling for seats under the Odisha State Quota. Diploma holders can apply for lateral entry into the second year of B.Tech through OJEE Lateral Entry. For B.Tech CSE at CUTM, the usual JEE Main range for general category students is 50 to 65 percentile.

B.Des Admission

B.Des selection is based on design aptitude. CUTM accepts NID DAT, UCEED, and its own Design Aptitude Test. The course draws students from eastern India, and some specialisations may also require a portfolio review during final selection.

MBA Admission

MBA applicants can use CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, or GMAT scores. A graduation degree with 50% aggregate is required. Shortlisted students attend GDPI before final selection. The programme is linked with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) partnership network, and students should confirm the latest status on the official CUTM portal.

B.Pharm and Health Sciences Admission

B.Pharm admission is through OJEE or merit in 10+2 PCB/PCM with 50% marks. B.Sc Nursing follows OJEE Nursing counselling and INC norms. BPT, allied health B.Sc courses, and paramedical diploma programmes select students on 10+2 merit with relevant subjects.

CUTM Placements

CUTM Bhubaneswar placements 2025 reported a highest package of INR 16 LPA. The university recorded 2,337 placement offers for 2,657 eligible students, with a 90% placement rate. A total of 202 companies visited the campus.

CUTM Campus and Infrastructure

CUTM Bhubaneswar has a 40-acre campus near Jatni at the foothills of the Barunei hills, 20 km from central Bhubaneswar. Jatni railway station, on the Howrah-Chennai main line, is 5 km away, while Bhubaneswar airport is 25 km from the campus.
