Ans. To secure admission into the Ph.D Molecular Biology and Genetics at LPU Pass with 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC in the Master's Degree* (2 year or 4 semester Master’s Degree after a 3 year Bachelor’s Degree #) or equivalent in the relevant subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview.

# Candidate who has completed 1-year/2-semester master's degree* programme with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree is also eligible.

* in M.Sc. or MS (with Biotechnology, Biochemistry or Microbiology or Industrial Microbiology or Genetics or Molecular Biology or Bioinformatics or Genetic Engineering or Botany or Zoology, Toxicology or other relevant branches of Life Sciences) or equivalent

Or

A candidate who has completed 4-years/8-semesters bachelor’s degree in relevant field with 75% aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC and have minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in teaching/research/Industry is also eligible subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview.
NOTE: If an institute has conversion factor of 9.5 then CGPA of 7.5 will not result in 75% marks and hence such a candidate will not be eligible.

(A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC or ST or OBC (non-creamy layer) or Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.)
