BHU Cutoff FAQs

Ques. Does BHU offer management seats for its programs?

Ans. Yes, the Management seat or paid seat system at BHU lets students who just miss the regular cutoff still get admission by paying extra fees apart from the normal course fee. To be eligible for a management seat at BHU, a candidate must qualify for the required entrance exams, CUETUG or CUET PG, depending on the course. The management seat option is only for students who have qualified the entrance exam but did not get a seat in the regular list.

Ques. How can I fill up the preference form of BHU, especially for a Management seat?

Ans. To fill out the preference form before admission, the candidate should follow these steps:

  • Visit the official website of BHU.
  • Click on the counselling portal, and log in as a UG/PG student.
  • On the new dashboard, open the preference entry form, select the courses, and rate them according to your preference.
  • Select the “Paid Seat” option instead of a regular seat.
  • Enter the academic details and submit the form.
  • After submission of the preference form, the candidate must print the call letter and attend the counselling.

Ques. When does BHU release the cutoff for admission?

Ans. Since CUET UG is conducted in May/June and CUET PG takes place around March, BHU releases CUET UG cutoffs for undergraduate admissions in early to mid-August (rounds 1-4), while CUET PG cutoffs are released in late July to early August each year.

Ques. How many rounds of cutoff are announced for admission at BHU?

Ans. BHU UG and PG admissions under the Combined Allotment Program (CAP) involve 4 regular allotment/cutoff rounds. BHU conducts a Spot (mid-entry) round to fill the leftover seats each year.

Ques. What is the reporting date at BHU after the 2025 cutoff announcement?

Ans. Candidates are expected to report to their respective faculty or college after the conclusion of the final (fourth) seat allotment round, before the academic session begins (August 25-28 for 2025 admissions), to complete all the formalities.
