DEI Agra Admission Dates 2026

DEI Agra is conducting admissions for the 2026-27 academic session through exams such as CUET UG, JEE Main, NATA, NEET UG, CUET PG, GATE, and DEI entrance tests, depending on the course. The current schedule items that are still active or upcoming are given below.

Course-wise entrance exam rules for the 2026-27 admission cycle are given below. For courses not covered fully by national-level tests, DEI also uses its own entrance exam.

DEI Agra Courses and Fees

DEI Agra offers more than 100 programmes in engineering, architecture, homeopathy, sciences, humanities, commerce, management, education, fine arts, agriculture, and vocational studies. The Dayalbagh Educational Society keeps the fee structure low so that students from different income groups can study here.

Footwear Technology under B.Tech is one of DEI's notable courses because Agra has a strong leather and footwear industry. Agricultural Engineering also connects with the working farm system on the Dayalbagh campus. At the PG level, DEI offers MBA in Agriculture along with the regular MBA stream.

DEI Agra Admission Process

DEI Agra admits students through merit lists and does not offer management quota seats. Selection is based on national entrance exam scores or DEI entrance tests. CUET UG and CUET PG are used mainly for humanities, science, and commerce programmes.

B.Tech Admission

For B.Tech, students need at least 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The selection steps are:

• Qualify JEE Main, CUET UG, or the DEI Entrance Exam
• Fill the DEI admission form and upload the 10+2 marksheet
• Check the merit list prepared from exam score and category
• Complete document checking and pay the fee to confirm the seat

For the general category, the JEE Main percentile cutoff for B.Tech usually remains in the 40th to 60th percentile range. Because DEI has low fees, seats are in demand among students from economically weaker sections and first-generation learners from Uttar Pradesh and nearby states.

B.Arch and BHMS Admission

B.Arch applicants must have studied Mathematics in 10+2, scored at least 50% aggregate, and hold a valid NATA score or JEE Main Paper 2 score. For BHMS, students need 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, at least 50% aggregate for the general category, and a valid NEET UG score. BHMS seats are allotted through institutional counselling after NEET UG results.

BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BFA, and B.Ed Admission

Most UG admissions in Arts, Commerce, and Science depend on CUET UG scores in the relevant domain subjects. B.Sc Agriculture and Honours courses need 50% in PCB or PCM, as applicable. For BFA, DEI holds its own entrance test to check drawing skills and subject aptitude. B.Ed applicants must have graduation with 50% aggregate in any discipline.

MBA and PG Admission

Students applying for MBA need a three-year graduation degree with at least 50% aggregate in any discipline. M.Tech needs a relevant B.Tech or B.E. degree with 55% aggregate and a valid GATE score. M.Sc needs B.Sc with 50% in the relevant subject. PG admission is based on CUET PG merit or DEI entrance test performance.

Ph.D. Admission

For Ph.D. admission, students must have postgraduation with at least 55% marks in the relevant discipline. Selection includes a written entrance test and a departmental interview. Candidates who have a valid UGC-NET or CSIR-NET score may be excused from the written test as per departmental rules.

DEI Agra Placements

Placements at DEI Agra are strongest in engineering and technology courses. According to NIRF 2025 data, 458 UG students and 249 PG students were placed from DEI in the 2024-25 placement season. Four-year B.Tech graduates recorded a median package of INR 5.07 LPA. M.Tech students received a median package of INR 6.8 LPA, while the highest package has reached INR 12 LPA.

For MBA, DEI reports a median package of INR 3.9 LPA. Across placement cycles, three-year BA, B.Com, and B.Sc graduates have reported a median package of INR 3.35 LPA.

DEI Agra recruiters come from IT, manufacturing, and core engineering fields. Companies that have hired from the campus include TCS, Infosys, HCL, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, BHEL, and SRF Ltd. Axis Bank, Shree Cement, Jaypee Group, and Encyclopaedia Britannica India have also recruited DEI graduates. The Footwear Technology course gets focused hiring from the leather and footwear industry in the Agra-Kanpur industrial belt.

DEI Agra Rankings

DEI Agra appears in NIRF across different categories because it offers courses in several fields. In Engineering, the institute has stayed in the 151-200 band in NIRF for 2025, 2024, and 2023. It also has NAAC A grade accreditation.

The NAAC A grade shows that DEI meets recognised quality standards for academics and infrastructure. Its steady NIRF Engineering band over three years reflects its performance in teaching, research, graduation outcomes, and infrastructure parameters.

DEI Agra Scholarships

DEI Agra students can apply for central government scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal. PG and doctoral students may also use UGC and AICTE fellowship schemes. Eligible students from Uttar Pradesh can receive state-government SC/ST scholarships through the institute.

Because DEI already has a very low fee structure, scholarship support can make UG study almost free for eligible students from economically weaker sections. The institute also helps with girls-specific scholarship payments under state government schemes.

DEI Agra Campus and Infrastructure

DEI Agra has a 75-acre campus in Dayalbagh colony, 5 km north-east of Agra city centre. The institute is part of the wider Dayalbagh self-supporting township, which includes farms, dairies, manufacturing workshops, and residential spaces. This gives students practical exposure to agricultural and industrial work during their studies.

The campus has separate faculty buildings for Engineering, Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Management, Education, Architecture, Fine Arts, and Homeopathy. Its central library has more than two lakh books, journals, and periodicals, along with digital resources through INFLIBNET. Facilities also include computer centres, mechanical and electrical workshops, materials testing labs, architecture studios, and a health centre for students and staff.

Female students can use hostel facilities at INR 9,900 per annum. Rooms are furnished with a bed, table, chair, cupboard, and mattress. Sports facilities cover cricket, football, volleyball, and athletics. A large part of DEI's faculty comes from the Dayalbagh community, which gives the institute a stable academic environment across departments.

DEI Agra vs Integral University, Lucknow vs SHUATS, Prayagraj

Students from Uttar Pradesh and nearby states often compare DEI Agra with Integral University, Lucknow, and Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj. All three are UGC-recognised deemed universities and offer programmes in engineering, sciences, and management with accessible admission requirements.

DEI is much more affordable than the two other deemed universities in this comparison, especially for B.Tech. Integral University has the advantage of being in Lucknow and has a stronger law school. SHUATS is known for agriculture and life sciences, and it has a larger campus with deeper research activity in these areas. The three universities mainly attract students from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and nearby states.
