HNBGU UG Admission 2026

HNBGU offers UG study in arts, science, commerce, law, education, management, pharmacy, and engineering. For most UG courses, the yearly fee is INR 4,630. Admission is not given through Class 12 marks alone because CUET-UG score is compulsory for the listed UG programmes, while B.Tech uses JEE Main rank.

HNBGU UG Selection Criteria

HNBGU prepares course-wise UG merit lists from CUET-UG scores. For B.Tech, the merit order is decided by JEE Main rank. Students who receive seat allotment must complete counselling and document checking at the allotted campus.

• CUET-UG score in the required subject combination decides the merit rank for each UG programme.

Note: HNBGU B.Tech costs INR 29,500 per year, which is much lower than the fee at many private engineering colleges in Uttarakhand. Students looking for a central university B.Tech can compare HNBGU with private options.

How to Apply for UG at HNBGU?

UG applicants first appear for the required entrance test and then register on the HNBGU admission portal after the result. The same process applies to B.Tech applicants after JEE Main.

• Register for CUET-UG or JEE Main through the NTA portal, as per the course requirement.

HNBGU offers several PG programmes, including MA, M.Sc, MBA, M.Com, MCA, and M.Ed. CUET PG score is required for all PG admissions. The yearly fee is INR 4,250 for MA and M.Com, INR 5,350 to INR 13,550 for M.Sc, and INR 33,050 for MBA.

HNBGU Scholarships 2026

HNBGU students can apply for Government of India scholarship schemes because the university is a central university. Eligible Uttarakhand domicile students may also apply for state scholarship schemes.

• Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships: This scheme supports high-scoring Class 12 students from low-income families. Applications are made through the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in.
• Post Matric Scholarship (SC/ST/OBC/Minority): These Central and Uttarakhand government schemes are for eligible backward category students. Students apply through the NSP portal or the state portal.
