The MBA in Sustainable Development and Management is open to Indian and international students. Applicants from any academic discipline may apply.

• A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA is required.
• Applicants using CAT, XAT, MAT, or GMAT must have at least the 70 percentile. A valid CUET PG score is also accepted for MBA admission.
• The online application must include the entrance score, a self-introduction of no more than 300 words, and an SOP explaining the applicant’s reason for choosing Nalanda University and understanding of the subject.
• Interview shortlisting is based on entrance results, academic merit, and the submitted SOP.

Additional MBA requirements:

• Applicants from countries or educational backgrounds where English is not the teaching language must provide TOEFL, IELTS, or another standard English proficiency certificate.
• Working executives need at least 5 years of experience and a no-objection certificate from their employer. CAT, MAT, and XAT scores do not apply to these applicants.
• Students may leave the MBA after 1 year and receive a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Development and Management.

The university provides two-year MA and MSc programmes. The MA has several subject options, while the MSc is available in Ecology and Environment Studies and Mathematics.

• Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks, an equivalent CGPA, or a 2.2/4.0 GPA.
• Students must take the CUET PG examination.

Nalanda University Full-time Ph.D. Eligibility

• Applicants must have a master’s or M.Phil. degree with at least 65% marks or an equivalent GPA.
• A NET or CSIR-NET qualification is compulsory for Indian applicants.

Nalanda University Part-time Ph.D. Eligibility

• Applicants need a master’s degree with 65% marks, preferably including a dissertation, or an M.Phil. degree with 60% marks. They must also have 8 to 10 years of work experience.
• The application must contain:

  • 2 recommendation letters.
  • A Statement of Purpose.
  • A detailed research proposal and a Turnitin report with no more than 10% similarity.
  • 2 to 3 writing samples or published works.
  • A no-objection certificate from the current employer. The application must also be forwarded through the proper channel.
