The 2026-27 admission process has already ended. For the 2027-28 session, VITEEE 2027 is expected to begin with registration in November 2026, followed by the entrance exam and counselling in 2027.

The entrance exams accepted for different programmes in the 2026-27 session were as follows.

VIT-AP University Courses and Fees

VIT-AP University runs more than 40 programmes at UG, PG, integrated, dual-degree, and PhD levels. Fees differ by course, with engineering programmes placed higher than science and commerce courses.

B.Tech is the main programme at VIT-AP University. Its specialisations include AI/ML, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Blockchain, Robotics, VLSI, and Automotive Design, along with regular engineering branches.

VIT-AP University Admission Process

VIT-AP University admits students through entrance scores, qualifying exam marks, counselling, and interview rounds, depending on the programme. B.Tech admission mainly depends on VITEEE, while other courses accept national-level tests, CUET scores, or merit in the qualifying exam.

B.Tech Admission

For B.Tech, most seats are filled through VITEEE. Students must meet these conditions:

• Pass 10+2 or an equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
• Score at least 60% aggregate marks in PCM, or 50% for SC/ST candidates
• Have a valid VITEEE score, JEE Main score, or AP EAMCET rank

The process includes VITEEE registration, slot booking, exam, rank release, online counselling, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, and final admission confirmation. VITEEE fills 65% of seats, while AP EAMCET fills 35%.

For popular B.Tech branches such as CSE and AI/ML, the general category VITEEE cutoff usually falls within the 1 to 50,000 rank range. For CSE through AP EAMCET, the cutoff changes by category and specialisation and usually lies between rank 5,000 and 20,000.

MBA Admission

MBA applicants need a recognised UG degree in any field with at least 50% aggregate marks. Indian applicants must also have a valid CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, or CMAT score.

VIT-AP shortlists candidates through entrance scores. Shortlisted students then appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds, and final admission is based on a composite score.

BBA, BA+LLB, and BBA+LLB Admission

For BBA, students must pass 10+2 in any stream with at least 50% aggregate marks. Admission is based on CUET UG score or direct merit in board exams.

For BA+LLB and BBA+LLB, applicants need 10+2 with at least 45% aggregate marks. Selection is done through CLAT rank, CUET UG score, or institutional entrance test merit.

M.Sc and PhD Admission

M.Sc admission requires a relevant UG degree with 60% aggregate marks. Selection is through CUET PG score or marks in the qualifying degree. PhD applicants need a relevant PG degree with 55% marks and must clear VITEEE Research Entrance Test (VRET), or have a valid UGC NET or GATE score.

VIT-AP University Placements

VIT-AP University reported strong placement figures for the 2025 batch. During the season, 620 companies gave 12,571 offers, and 10,025 students were placed in different sectors. The highest package was INR 96.26 LPA, and the average CTC was INR 14.43 LPA.

TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant, and IBM are among the major recruiters from IT services and consulting. Product and technology companies also made offers above INR 20 LPA in areas such as cloud computing, data analytics, and embedded systems. VIT-AP alumni work in IT services, software product roles, VLSI design, fintech, and management consulting.

The Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS) lets students choose courses and faculty members. It also helps students build skills across engineering, management, and law. In recent cycles, recruiters in data engineering and analytics have hired students from B.Sc Data Science and B.Tech Data Analytics. VIT-AP University Rankings

VIT-AP University Scholarships

VIT-AP University gives merit-based scholarships for UG and PG students. The amount of support depends on entrance rank or performance in the qualifying exam.

For B.Tech students, the VITEEE rank-based scholarship is the most common option. Students with top ranks can receive a full tuition fee waiver, but they must maintain satisfactory academic progress every year to continue receiving the benefit.

VIT-AP University Campus and Infrastructure

VIT-AP University has a 200-acre campus in Amaravati, 18 km from Vijayawada Junction railway station and beside the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat complex. Academic spaces, hostels, and recreation areas are located inside the same campus.

The university has departmental labs for Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, VLSI, Robotics, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and Materials Engineering. Its central library is fully air-conditioned, uses RFID technology, and has national and international journals along with digital resources. B.Tech students can use the Semester Abroad Programme and International Transfer Programme with partner universities to study for a semester at a foreign institution. Hostels are available for both male and female students. The hostel fee ranges from INR 1,09,600 to INR 2,27,300 per year. Students can choose AC or non-AC rooms, with options from twin-sharing rooms to dormitory layouts. The campus also has a cafeteria, sports facilities, and free Wi-Fi in academic and residential areas.
