It is followed to arrive at a fair comparison while preparing the merit list and ranking of candidates. The equating method is considered in order to adjust the scores of the candidates who have opted for different forms of the test.

  • While the statistical procedure used for calculating the percentile ranks of the candidates is Equipercentile Equating.
  • It offers a generalised rank for the candidate for different forms or numbers of candidates.
  • This is a unique and invariant position of a candidate in a particular group.
  • For example, 95 percentile score denotes that in a particular test, 95 percent of the candidates have scored below the scorer of 95 percentile while only 5 percentile have scored above.
  • Equipercentile Equating will be used for all the various sessions separately and with that, normalization procedure will be followed.
