VITEEE 2020 practice papers with solutions are available for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English and Aptitude. VITEEE 2020 was cancelled during the COVID-19 pandemic, so these are preparation papers rather than questions from a test held that year.

Choose a subject below to open its question paper and solutions. The science and Mathematics papers have 10 questions each, while Aptitude has five and English has two.

Aptitude Practice Paper

Try Three Original PCM Questions

Original practice: three questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Choose your answers, then submit the set.

1. An ideal 15 V source is connected across a 5 ohm resistor. What current flows?

Select one answer.

2. A solution contains 0.5 mole of solute in a final volume of 500 mL. What is its molarity?

Select one answer.

3. A 2 by 2 matrix has first row (5, 2) and second row (1, 3). What is its determinant?

Select one answer.

Planned 2020 Section Pattern

Physics and Maths: Answer Clarifications

−

Correct results for the calculation and answer-label differences in the linked solutions.

QuestionAnswer and calculation
Physics Q2: 8 g of oxygenMoles = 8/32 = 1/4. Therefore PV = RT/4.
Physics Q5: rotating chargeUsing I = qω/(2π) gives 10,000 A. The axial-field formula gives about 8.05 × 10-4 T for the stated values.
Physics Q7: meniscus lens1/f = (1.52 - 1)(1/20 - 1/40); f is about 76.92 cm.
Physics Q10: doped siliconElectron concentration = (1.5 × 1016)2 / (4.5 × 1022) = 5 × 109 m-3.
Mathematics Q4: work doneResultant force = (21, -22, 34); displacement = (2, -2, -2). Their dot product is 18.
Mathematics Q6: limitlog y = log(cos x)/x2 tends to -1/2. Therefore y tends to e-1/2.
Mathematics Q7: areaIntegrate y + 4 - y2/2 from y = -2 to 4. The area is 18 square units.
Mathematics Q8: differential equationThe solution is sin x tan y + 2 sin(x + y) = C.
Mathematics Q9: two coinsP(4 heads-pairs)/P(3 heads-pairs) = (n - 3)/12 = 1. Hence n = 15.
Mathematics Q10: logicThe negation is equivalent to (p → r) ↔ q, which is option A.

VITEEE 2020 Question Paper FAQs

Papers and Solutions

Are these questions from an exam held in 2020?+

No. VITEEE 2020 was cancelled. The subject papers are practice material, and the solutions explain those questions.

Should I attempt Mathematics and Biology together?+

Use Mathematics for PCM practice or Biology for PCB practice. The planned paper had one of these subjects, not both. Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude were common to the two combinations.

Are the Solutions links an official VIT answer key?+

No. They lead to subject-wise solutions. The answer clarifications above give corrected results where answer labels differ from the calculations.

Practice and Scores

Can I combine these papers into a full mock?+

They work better as short subject tests. A PCM selection has 37 questions: ten each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, five in Aptitude and two in English. Replacing Mathematics with Biology keeps the total at 37. That is shorter than the planned 125-question format.

How should I compare scores from papers of different lengths?+

Compare the proportion answered correctly rather than the raw total. Eight correct answers out of ten is 80%, while four out of five is also 80%. If you leave questions unanswered, attempt accuracy uses only the questions you answered. Keep the denominator clear when comparing two sessions; a percentage from a short practice set is not a VITEEE percentile or rank.

Can I retry only the questions I get wrong?+

Yes. Retry mistakes includes incorrect and unanswered questions. Restart set brings back all three original questions. Changing an answer clears the old result before you submit again.
