I choose Computer Science Engineering with specialization in Information Security as I was very interested in this domain from my Intermediate. VIT had a high level graded faculty with phenomenol teaching methods.Coming to term exams there are mainly 3 types one is CAT-continuous Assessment Test and other is FAT- Final Assessment Test which are conducted for 30 and 40 marks and oher 30 marks are from internals one more thing CAT's are two one is CAT-1 & other is CAT-2 for 15,15.
I can placements and job oppurtunities are good comparing with some IITs and NITs. VIT has an average package of 8-9lacks anually and we have common recruiters anually are Cognizant, IBM, Infosys, Capegemini, Accenture, Microsoft and many top tech comapanies.Still now VIT's highest package is 1.02 crores and aerage as i already mentioned in between 8-9 lacks and also VIT have above 70% placement percentage.

Placements are improving around 70% are placed. Avg package around 4.5 lakhs per annum time firmes like tcs recruit. If not placed i will go for compus jobs or higher studies. Company usually offers roles like software.

Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum is updated and made to keep up with the industry standards. The faculties are also really nice, and try to help you whenever you need it. The exams are very timely and include 2 Unit Tests and one Final test per semester.
People with a CGPA of more than 6-7 with no backlogs are generally eligible for placements. All famous recruiters come here, including amazon, google, meta, microsoft. Over 6000 offers are made. Packages go upto 1.2 cr, and average at around 10-13 lakhs.

Placements are great with 11,001 offers last years and 841 companies joining to take students for recuitment.The annual package ranges from 5LPA to 24LPA for biotechnology. they also provide different intership opportunities.

According to my senior talks the placement training selection happens according to the cgpa we secured in all semesters.The highest salary in mtech cse in 2024 is 25 lakhs.The recruiters are tcs,google,service now,IBM,amazon,and infosys etc.The percentage of students placed is nearly 80%.The average package is 7 LPA.

There are different scholarships provided for VIT students and each has different Criteria. Some of them are mentioned below.
- VITEEE Scholarship under GV School Development Programme (GVSDP): Scholarships are given to the rank scored in VITEEE in the first year of the program and are continued on the basis of the criteria mentioned in the award letter issued during admission.
- Smt. Rajeswari Viswanathan Memorial Scholarship: Scholarships given to meritorious candidates from an economically weak background who satisfy the criteria specified in the application.
- Merit Awards for NRI and Foreign students: For the top 10 students of each branch of a program from 1st to final year with a record of 75% above attendance and no history of arrears, also do not violate the university's code of conduct.
- Cent percent Attendance Awards: Students who maintain a record of 100% attendance
- Sports Scholarship: For the students with great records and performance in various sports.
For the Hostel accommodation at VIT University students have to visit https://admissions.vit.ac.in/freshersportal/ between 9.30 am and 9.30 pm and follow the instructions mentioned below.
- Log in by using their application number and date of birth, and further click on the Hostel Booking menu.
- Select the bed type, and mess type and generate the invoice. Once selected and confirmed the option cannot be reverted till the next day's booking. To confirm your reservation, pay online before 11.55 pm on the same day.
- The students have to do the procedure again if they fail to make the payment on the same day.

The Fee for the B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering at VIT University is INR 1.73 Lakhs with an INR 3k caution deposit which is refundable and a One-time payment only.
The VIT university offers UG, PG and PhD courses in various streams. The course list is as follows

Along with these the university also offers PhD courses.
The Campus of VIT University is well-equipped with amenities such as
- The campus has a Central Library of six floors which has specialized collections of books, journals & other resources. The library also has printed books, e-books, back volumes, and CDs\DVDs.
- The Sports arena and outdoor playgrounds for sports such as Football, Cricket, Basketball, Handball, Hockey, Tennis, Volleyball, and Throwball and for Indoor sports, they have a badminton court, table tennis room, squash room and gymnasium.
- There are two cultural fests organized at the VIT University. Riviera, the annual International Sports and Cultural Fest and Gravitas, the annual Technological and Design Carnival.
- The transport facilities are also available for the students across all locations in and around Vellore
- The VIT Health Centre for the medical treatment of students and faculties.
- The hostel facilities are also available for the students.
There are certain requirements as per the course that a candidate has to fulfill to get admission to VIT University, which are mentioned below:
- The applicant should be a Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / PIO / OCI.
- The candidate must have passed 10+2 in science/commerce/humanities with a 70% mark from a recognised board.
- The candidates belong to the SC/ST community or hail from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, 10% relaxation is provided.
- The Candidate must appear and score valid marks in the national and VIT University qualifying exams.
