VITEEE test-city choice is linked to the application details. In 2026, students could select from cities listed for their native, current-address or school state; they could not freely change the city after submission.

VITEEE Test Cities in India

The 2027 city list is not released. These are the 2026 prospectus locations, grouped by state or Union Territory. The list identifies cities, not the addresses of individual test venues.

The overseas test fee was USD 90 equivalent in INR, compared with INR 1,350 for Indian centres. Selecting an overseas test location and applying through an NRI/foreign admission category are not automatically the same action.

How Test-City Selection Works

The 2026 form allowed a city from the listed options for the candidate's native state, current-address state or school state. The candidate selected one city. Those state details therefore affected the available list.

After submission, the student could not edit the city. OTBS also did not allow a student-side city change. For administrative or logistical reasons, VIT could assign a nearby different city with an available slot and inform the candidate.

Enter the three state fields accurately during registration. A city appearing in the national table does not mean it will be selectable in every applicant's account.

A booked slot could not be changed at the candidate's request. The actual e-admit card is needed for the building address; the booking confirmation is not a substitute. The 2026 reporting guidance was at least two hours before the test, with no entry after the stated deadline.

Before Travelling to the Venue

Use the actual e-admit card for the street/building address.
Match the allotted date and session.
Carry the A4 printout and an accepted original photo ID.
Follow the gate deadline; 2026 guidance asked for arrival two hours early.

Test-Centre Doubts

Does choosing Chennai as my centre mean admission to VIT Chennai?+

No. The entrance-test city is an examination location. Campus, programme and fee category are separate counselling choices made against the VITEEE rank.

Can I change my centre in OTBS?+

The 2026 instructions did not permit student-side test-city changes in OTBS. A VIT-initiated reassignment for administrative reasons is different from a candidate requesting a change.

Why is the exact building missing from my booking slip?+

The booking confirmation identifies the city and session. The actual e-admit card supplies the venue address. Download the actual card before arranging the final route to the test centre.
