College Life in Behala college

What I Liked

Our college have very huge campus a big pond with a garden filled with various of trees and plants which makes it very cool to hangout in off periods and breaks and also a big Basketball court where players practice.
Our mess also have various types of food to offer which is better hygiene maintained along with serving soft drinks and also tea/coffee

What I didn’t like

The timings sometimes clash with few other departments and teachers except our own departments sometimes remain unbothered if we miss class or not.
Rooms in 1st floor is not much renovated as 3rd floor so I think being a A++ college the authorities should renovate the rooms for lower floors where the wall and ceiling are not in good condition.

Placement Experience:

Usually students complete BSc and give other competitive exams for MSc to study out of city. Some department offer MSc too depending on SGPA . And considering placements on basis of that most get employed in Private companies though it is a government aid college Companies look for PhD students not just Bsc MSc completed students and also Students generally look for becoming Professors in University by giving UgC Net exam. But according to college website the placement record for year 2021 and 2022 is 70%

Internships Opportunities:

College don't offer paid internship but they do offer study based internship. Last time my department took us to Rabindra Sarovar lake to make a field study visit of various skills and movements of birds and we need to prepare a presentation from that. Also we needed to measure the salinity of the lake creating a knowledgeable environment for all of us

Internships Opportunities:

In our syllabus we had a summer internship, which was without stipend internship, basically that internship was given in the syllabus just for our practical knowledge and to know some hands on works related to our subjects. Our topic was BIO-CONSERVATION & BIOSTATISTICS which includes field work, data collections, species collections, bird watching, water quality analysis, some biostatistical knowledge and many more... and at the end we need to prepare a report and had a viva exam.

Review about Behala college

What I Liked

I like the library because I can read and write there without any disturbance. .
I like the campus life because I get many sports to play in my leisure time

What I didn’t like

I don't like my college canteen because there is lot of noise make my student. And the quality of food is not good .
Our college playground is only one so we face some problems to play the games.

Placement Experience:

In college website there is placement cell option from there you can get the opportunities for placement and Job. There is campus placement is also there . There highest package is 6LPA And the average package is 2.5 LPA. Yes I have a plan to sit in the college placement.

Internships Opportunities:

Many government companies offers internship. Axis Bank, BOI , TATA etc offers internship to our college. Currently I'm not apply for any internship. I have a plan join internship in 2025 after complications my course.

Review about college.

What I Liked

The location of College and availability of transportation system from colleges along with positive environment.
Faculty was quite good of cs dept .Here we have experienced teachers.

What I didn’t like

They should arrange outdoor sports like cricket and football.
They should .make students more industry ready

Placement Experience:

This is a Honours specified college .Here you will get placements from some banks but not like b tech colleges .Yes you can try on your own from off campus jobs but here you can get proper education for further education or jobs.

Internships Opportunities:

No I am currently pursuing MCA so I have not enrolled in any internship from here .ButThey held seminars regarding cyber security and web development for development and betterment of students.In final sem of cs we have to build our own website as a project.
