What I Liked

Infrastructure of our college is really nice
The campus life of our college is the best

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are there but not that much there are internships offered to us by our college to selected students and they are nice I plan to work as an accountant in a firm after this degree and do my mba after this

Internships Opportunities:

I have not apted for an internship as of now as I am new to the college and are figuring out things and studies now there are opportunities for our seniors and not for 1st year students as much as I know

Best College To Study

What I Liked

Well stocked library with books related to the syllabus.
Clean & hygenic canteen serving hot affordable food to the students.
Accessibilty of the college via transportation.

What I didn’t like

Lack of supervision on leaving and entering of students.
Presense of student union affiliated to a political party.

Placement Experience:

The college conduct a placement drive where a number of companies visit to chose suitable candites after a couple of round of interview. TCS, Wipro, Tech-Mahindra, Flipkart & Amazon are few of such companies who visit the college for the placement drive offereing salaries to suitable candidates ranging from 1.5LPA to 4LPA

What I Liked

Faculties are very co operative and knowledgeable
Location of the college is in Gariahat; very accessible

What I didn’t like

Playground is very small and not good for playing
Toilets are very dirty and needs to be maintained

Placements are good compared to other colleges offering B.com. Myself was placed in TCS after completing graduation with my 4 to 5 batchmates.Other companies also hire from HCC this college has very strong alumni network

What I Liked

I like the most about college is campus life which is very relaxing and cozy.
I also like the faculties that they are very friendly.

What I didn’t like

I dislike about is the classes get cancelled abruptly.
I also don't consider the food of the canteen which is not very delicious.

Placement Experience:

The eligibility criteria are also very basic which has a CGPA of 5 minimum and scored good marks also having hard and soft skills matters a lot. The percentage of students getting placements is more than 50%. I plan to land a job of my dreams.

Internships Opportunities:

No, I haven't opted for any internship since it's my second semester's exams are here. The internship opportunities available are of different types. The latest one was the summer internship which was available for the students and was added to the course as a compulsory skill.

Best commerce college in kolkata

What I Liked

The college campus is really impressive. Totally ragging free smoking free and girls are safe inside campus. Infrastructure is very updated like digital classes are held and college maintains a proper website for time to time updates . There is a big auditorium inside campus. You can play cricket football and indoor games in the playground

What I didn’t like

Office staffs are very rude. Some subjects classes are not held properly. Professor's give backlog to their students on tutorial exams . Attendance criteria is very hard to maintain. Teachers are not student friendly

Placement Experience:

Our college has almost no campus placement. But sometimes companies like Grand Thornton, PWC, and Accenture visit for campus placement. You have to pass the ongoing course for campus placement. In 2015 highest package offered was 800000 to a b.com student. The average package varies between 3-5 lacs.

INSIDE HERAMBA CHANDRA COLLEGE

What I Liked

Good teachers who works hard in explaining touch concepts with ease.
Beautiful and unique college building with many class rooms and access to clean drinking water and toilets.
The college canteen provides fresh food for a minimal charge
The seniors are very friendly given that the student is giving them the proper respect they deserve.
THE PRINCIPAL IS VERY STRICT AND ALWAYS STANDS BESIDE THE STUDENTS.

What I didn’t like

The Student's Union Group often forces students to join their group so that they can take the students to political rallies conducted by the ruling party of the West Bengal government
The faculties are never able to complete the syllabus within the stipulated time before the university semesters for which the students needs to take alternate tuition classes for being able to complete their syllabus.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility criteria for getting Placement is that the student needs to be in the final year without any supple in the previous years. During 2023 Airtel, TCS and ICICI Bank came for offering job to the students. Since I have decided to pursue with CA after my graduation I didn't participated in the placement program. The Average and highest package ranges from 60000-200000 depending upon what's the company is willing to offer you. BUT ITS NOT RECOMMENDED TO SIT IDLE WAIT FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT SINCE ITS A GOVERNMENT SPONSORED COLLEGE PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES IS NOT GIVEN TO THE STUDENTS EVERY SINGLE YEAR. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT THE STUDENT MUST AFTER COMPLETING GRADUATION SEARCH FOR A JOB BY HIS OWN.

Internships Opportunities:

The college did not provided with any internship program. However if a student wishes to join internships while persuing undergraduation, he/she may search in LinkedIn for internship opportunities, during my time in the college I have not got any internship offer from the college.

Exploring Life at Heramba Chandra College

What I Liked

All staff and the faculty members are very helpful and friendly.
In terms of affordability the B.Com (Hons) course is very affordable here.

What I didn’t like

Outer toilet of the college must be cleaned everyday.
Job placement opportunity should be improved by the college

Placement Experience:

Job interview is take place over the year for graduate students. But there is no guaranted job placement opportunity assured by college authority. It could be improved in future by authority. It will be very helpful for students.

Internships Opportunities:

I don't opted for any internship. Because college doesn't provide that. I think College is working on it to help students for gathering experience in work space. But in month college conducts 3-4 seminar or workshop.

What I Liked

The infrastructure is quite good. As it's a old brahmo samaj times college. The faculties are quite friendly and nice
Campus life is no doubt best especially Bcom ones

What I didn’t like

The infrastructure should cope up with some basic technological aspects. The faculties must evolve themselves with technical stuffs like studying with the help of AI.
The union interference should have been less, because it's an educational society.

Placement Experience:

The eligibility criteria for placement is that you need to be graduated with 65% marks. A few recruiters are ICICI Bank and some insurance company. The highest package is 4lpa and the average package is 2.5lpa The percentage of students getting placed is nearly about 5%

What I Liked

Infrastructure is very good .Faculty members are also very friendly.
In three year I got my 2nd home with my buddies

What I didn’t like

Nothing about dislike in my college all is good

Placement Experience:

Placement policy is not so good .one or two companies are come for placement with less salary . Very few students gets placements. Average salary is 2-3 lakh .After bcom I am doing my Mcom In Calcutta University

Internships Opportunities:

No I haven't done any internship but some of my friends done internship and got 6-7 thousand stipends .I did not done any internship so I don't not know which company give intership and also didn't know about project

The perfect campus

What I Liked

Canteen is really good and they serve really tasty food
And men's common room really good it has a variety of games

It doesn't have a lift for students to use.
The college group is small for everyone to use

I have not opted for any internships cause our does not provide any internships but the placements are good. Our should start providing internships to their students as we all students need practical work life experience.
