MCC, A heaven on Earth.

What I Liked

Campus, the college has a beautiful campus with lots of trees which makes us fall in love with nature, various animals and birds can be seen all around the campus.
There were few deserving faculties who were kind, supportive, and loving. They made sure that each of us understood the subject.

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure is old, the buildings are so old that it cannot be modernized.
Like the good faculties there are bad faculties as well, partial teaching is one of the major fallbacks.

Placement Experience:

The main eligibility criteria was to have no standing arrears. Deloitte, EY, W3Global, TCS, McKinsey, Deloitte Tax, Zomato, Edu-versity are few of the companies which came and each of the made over 5-10 recruits. The average salary package was around Rs 25000/month

Remarks:

This system changes according to the course. For commerce, no exams are required by the college. The college website is almost trash, the application process will take time because of the condition of the website. Verification process conducted in college is actually simple if you have all the required documents and if you don't then you will have to run to take printouts. Better to check and take all the required documents.

M.Sc Physics in MCC

What I Liked

Our college is so elegant and beautiful. MCC always has its own legacy
The buildings are build under the British architecture Staff's will often be a MCC ian too

What I didn’t like

I hate Hall traditions like followers and non followers
There is no other hatred than the hall traditions

Placement Experience:

There will b lots and lots of company will come for interview but mostly for B.Com, M.Com, BBA. Commonly we also got placement opportunities for all Under graduate and all post graduate students .

Remarks:

Our college a one of the oldest college in Asia, it has scored 14 in NIRF. MCC will conduct Written test for entrance but the marks of the previous year will speaks more. Getting seat in MCC is really a boon

"The ultimate guide"

What I Liked

Beautiful campus with deers, peacock etc
A very sweet and friendly faculties,they are well qualified and still doing research works

What I didn’t like

There is a language barrier if you come from outside of South India which is little bit difficult for students to adjust.
Hectic life as after the 1st internals start there is no time till the semester ends

Placement Experience:

There should be no arrears in your semester for getting a good placement and if you are applying for a company you have to give the interviews and show your presence otherwise placement cell will remove your name from the list. Highest placement is 1500000 per year and minimum is 300000 per year. 70% get placement through placement cell.

Remarks:

College campus is very beautiful and this college is built in 1837 so it is asia's one of the oldest college and the alumini of this college is our former president these all are the factors and one more factor is ranking of this college. There is no such written exams they just check your marks in board etc

What I Liked

good environment ,college is filled with so much greenery and wildlife you will never get bored of it
our college has an amazing innov ation center with futuristic possibilities

What I didn’t like

the facualty and maqnagement is very old fashioned backward minded
lack of good festivals and night parties

Placement Experience:

we have placement opportunities ,but you have to score a minimum of 6.5 cgpa and above nothing below that is gonna land you a job ,but 7.5 cgpa is the recommended score to make the placement offer a sure thing

Remarks:

this college that a high ranking in the NIRF ranking table ,and i was very fluent in tamil ,so i was able to communicate with locals ,so it felt safer to me than other colleges and states ,so the cutoff marks was around 85% for my degree ,other than that everything was easy ,no written tests or exam just some student friendly interviews

Insight of Madras Christian College

What I Liked

Campus is pure bliss. You'll feel so connected with nature . The campus is filled with trees and many animals like deer
The faculty are really sweet and are easy to approach.

What I didn’t like

Navigation the campus is quite big For a newbie or an outsider it may be difficult to navigate through the woods
Not enough street lights The classes are well equiped but during evening the outside gets so dark and there are only minimal lights But now they have started working on it

Placement Experience:

There are dedicated cells for placement in each department called placement cell . That helps students get placed through campus interviews. Wipro, acceture, are some known famous recruiters that comes for placement

Remarks:

There is no entrance exam for madras christian college for under graduate courses. It's based on merit list and your mark/percentage in 12th boards/ public exam. Though a little more priority is given to Christian students.

The love towards MCC

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course was designed very well according to the changing developments happening in the world. It structures a student from top to bottom. Mostly all the faculties here are P.hd scholars and very experienced Internal exams will be conducted one per 1 to 1.5 months

Remarks:

The clg has very beautiful seanery . It should be chosen by the people who love nature and like to live within nature. The faculties are all friendly . The bad aspect is that you get very very poor phone signal inside the campus. The admission for this clg is based on the statebord or CBSE final exam marks. Having a cut-off above 87 will easily get you a seat here

College Review

What I Liked

I like the greenery as there is a change of environment on and off campus
The various places and the history behind every building of the college

What I didn’t like

Bad online applications like the slow server on the college website
Sometimes there are infrastructure that is poorly maintained

Placement Experience:

Third-year students can join the placement cell. Students mostly pursue higher studies after a BSW degree so the placements are less. They may get a basic 3 lakh lpa job.Students can join as members of NGOs

Remarks:

The admission was on merit basis of 12th marks. Factors such as location, distance, curriculum, reviews, and reputation of the college made me choose this course.I also felt like this college is suitable for me personally than others with the same course

A review of our MCC's Lover and hater

What I Liked

First thing I like about the college campus is like that the nature they made the brought the land before many decades ago and the started growing trees like a forest if you come and visit it it would be like a tourist place in the City centre like Chennai there could be species of plants and trees that you have never seen and only you can see in the botanical garden online that is this makes a good opportunity for the botany students
Within the instructure this MCC is made by the Scottish missionaries by the funding of them they built they were built by the Scottish architect the buildings are study with the century crossed now it is also looks like a new building but the recent buildings that built by The MCC associate that is not good and looks old

What I didn’t like

I think the old MCC was good in the all the faculty members training and new fresh faculty members are not good enough no practical skills or no knowledge no knowledge in the subject Deep by the experience teachers are okay
Acid is a old building some of the new infrastructure are not provided that I needed to today's generation or today's college

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell in our college and place only two persons working with the placement cell under the department and more companies are coming the may 4 and more reputed companies are getting to a campus but please offer for the ratio of selecting the student would be and applying the student just very department if they are coming

Remarks:

No group discussions,no test were conducted for admission process but the allocation of seat are purely based on cutoff and other factor is they have more seat for Christian student as it is a Christian College I choose this college as a review of this college among the nerf ranking his top in Tamil Nadu as I staying in Chennai it was the best option for me

MADRAS CHRISTIAN COLLEGE REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because I love English language so much also I'm not interested in soo much brain work and stress for the academic so in literature we can express our perspective on things , share our thoughts through writings like poems , blogs, short Story and everything. They also encourages us to publish book while we study. I think that's a great opportunity to express our individual self.

Remarks:

It's a great community and there is good bunch of staffs , faculty and students. There is no written test required , once you applied in clg official website you will get a mail once you're selected then you go to clg for enrollment with the details that mentioned in the mail itself.
