What I Liked

I like about the most is the college surrounding and it's my home town so it's really good choice to study here
It's a good affordable college for every student's it's great choice thiagarajar

What I didn’t like

My department didn't conduct any event's like intedepartment or intercollegiate they have to conduct more events like that
Cultural and industrial visit should be for atleast 2 times in a full semester

Placement Experience:

My college has greatest placement for every department and my department is the most placed department in my college they provide the intership opportunity for every student and placement training will be provided by the college for 1 month including coding and aptitude

Internships Opportunities:

Zoho offers software development role in my college for 6lpa Accenture offers association role with 3.4 lpa the same role Deloitte and mind tree company offers for my stream Students Deloitte offers different role for commerce student.

What I Liked

My college is located in thepakulam Madurai is a namely know as temple city as my college is located between two temples and the view from the college to thepakulam lake is the thing which I like the most
In my college I really liked the skill development workshop which helps many to overcome the fear of communication

What I didn’t like

Canteen should have to improved because it's the only canteen for the whole college but the food are affordable but they have to make it big in order for the all the students
In my department students are not included in the extracurricular activities and other intercollegiate events because of the lack of awareness

Placement Experience:

Thiagarajar college is best comparing to other arts and science college in madurai which offers the placement for every department the minimum package is 3lpa and the service based companies like tcs Accenture Deloitte Wipro mindtree product companies like Zoho are hiring form out college and for the highest package it's 15lpa in my department 70% of students are getting placed others are planning for a pg or business

Internships Opportunities:

Currently my college offers intership with stipend monthly companies like tring apps Zoho offers training intership where the recruite the students after the intership and Deloitte offers a data analytics intership for 6 months with stipend Accenture offering summer internship for my juniors students now

What I Liked

Environment of the college is really good surrounded by trees which give a cool temperature.
Staffs or faculty is really friendly with us. They will also help for the placements, clearing doubts, etc.

What I didn’t like

Hostel and canteen foods are the drawback for this college.
Need more number of events like cultural, festival celebrations

Placement Experience:

From Fourth semester itself students get to know about the placement training and pre placement talks held for students who are interested in placements. They will undergo aptitude , coding training for all students. After that they will assign a portal for students to know about the companies which are going to hire and company details. Companies visiting our college are service based companies such as Accenture , TCS, Deloitte and Wipro. Product based companies like Zoho are hiring for 6- 10 LPA Where the serviced based companies offers 3.4 LPA as a average. Mostly 70% of students get placed for every year. If the training classes conducted means it will be more than 80% students will get placed.

Internships Opportunities:

There are many Internship opportunities for students who are interested in placements. Companies Like Deloitte, Tring Apps, Pick your trail, Wipro and companies will provide a six month internship opportunities. Due to location I did not opted for internships.

What I Liked

The location teppakulam is a wonderful place for students to gather after class and get together
The Environment the college has a good bunch of flora and fauna set up around which provides a calming presence which is good to hangout and study

What I didn’t like

The lack of social life. The strict societal norms imposes a kind of strict student environment
The infrastructure the lack of ground and not proper gymnasium is one of my major drawbacks

Placement Experience:

The placements offer plenty of companies with an above average package for freshers and there are abundant companies which come for intake. The college will provide a placement training class (students should pay for it) which is useful for attending companies

My college

What I Liked

The thing that I like about college is that the infrastructure even though the colleges small but they have a lot of trees which is good
One more thing is that the faculty members are very friendly they guide and help in each and every step

What I didn’t like

The thing which I don't like about the college is that they have a lot of rules and regulations
They have a certain dress code which strictly has to be followed else attendance will not be given

Placement Experience:

The eligibility criteria is that you have to just have a degree and a number of groupers have visited including TCS Zoho Accenture kg is et cetera the highest package they have offered 7.4 lpa and the lowest is 3.2 lpa more than 70% of students I have got placed

Internships Opportunities:

We were provided with internship facility not provide it we were supposed to go to internship in any of the companies I choose transgender resource centre and work there as a content writer and editor for 20 days

What I Liked

Our college gives importance to Sports and extra curricular activities.
Our college perfor well each year and this year and we have ranked 15th among other colleges in India in NIRF

What I didn’t like

Our college is the old college and some of the blocks and buildings or too old and bad. but our college also has some new buildings which as some improvements.
our college life is little boring and frustrative because we have too much rules and regulations to follow

Placement Experience:

After completing 3rd semester you are eligible for placement training. we have to pay fees for placement and we will get trained for about 2 months after that the students got placed by interview, the average package of placement at around 20000. I am planning to crack some competitive exams.

Internships Opportunities:

We have to do a mandatory internship just not provided by college but you have to search for ourselves and there will be no stipend for that. but I'll college also provides some government based on be companies internship which has stipend but it is limited.

A journey of growth-My experience at Thiagarajar college

What I Liked

College infrastructure is really nice and the main thing is Teppakulam before our college.
Some Faculties are friendly with students

What I didn’t like

Need extra halls to conduct fresher parties or farewell parties for students.
Some staffs are so egoistic and need counseling for those staffs.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell in my college. Nearly 1000 students were placed Yearly with a decent salary package. Eligibility is the aggregate percentage of 60%. TCS company visited and gave 121 offers. The highest package was 7 LPA and the average package was 2.5 LPA. 60% of students are getting placed. My plan after my degree is to get a central government job.
