If you want to get seat in this college then their is an exam called CEE ( Combined Entrance Exam) but you have to be the resident of Assam only other states student can't apply. After securing a good rank in the exam then their is a councelling process in which you have to choose college and branch, according to your preference you can get seat. The CEE exam is of 480 marks and if you get under 1000 rank then you can get into the college but for core branch if you have to get under 800 rank ( for general category).

Good aspects The environment of whole campus is very clam and refreshing. The campus is green campus .The social interaction of student is very fascinating The teachers are very student oriented .They thoroughly teach each and every topic very deeply Bad aspects Some of the teachers uses the old conventional method can't upgrade their mindset The campus road should be closed for other type of public transport I gave the CEE exam to get admission into this college . My first choice is civil branch and AEC .I got this college in first preference. The eligibility is combined mark for Physics chemistry maths mark is more than or equal to 60 .the age limit is 21 .The cuttoff widely vary over different Branches. The cutoff of core branches is top 400 for general student

We were selected by the rank and marks we scored in the CEE entrance examination along the higher secondary percentage An average general guy requires atleast 800 rank (which may go upto 1000) in CEE to get into various branches in this college.

The environment of this college is good only. It is covered by hills so there is a lot greenery and fresh air to breathe. But it's roads are terrible so there is a lot of dust which make it polluted but good thing is that the road is being constructed and will be done very soon. Yes, to get into this college you need to appear CEE and based on your marks you scored you will get your college and course.

I am from Guwahati, Assam where this college is. The college is 15Km far from my home and hence i can travel and do not have to stay in hostel. Also, the college is away from city hustle bustle so a peaceful environment is there. Yes, to get admission into this college one need to sit for Combined Entrance Examination, shortly CEE. It is comparatively easier to crack this exam than JEE

AEC is the oldest engineering institute in North East. There are a lot of excellent faculty and alumni graduated from AEC. It is one of the best engineering institute is Assam. One can take addmission through cracking CEE examination conducted for addmission in state engineering institutes.

Good? It is considered as the top state engineering college, who takes admission through CEE examination, cut off is usually very high around 200-300 out of around 15k rank to get ETE and for CSE it will be under 100. Apart from that, there's not a single thing I admire in this college. drunkards everywhere in every hostel, even girls drank beer and vomit all over the place during the biggest college fest in assam. Teachers are mostly contractual in 1st year although around 40% teacher are good enough to study from them. Classrooms for the 1st year students are straight garbage while the new departmental buildings are pretty good. You have to take notes the traditional way, no one will allow you to use a laptop in class. Also most of the teachers have a big ego. The thing I admire is the support from some senior in college campus till freshers, after that it's like they're the kings and we're just pawns

Yes I sat for common entrance examination held by ASTU where I secured 91 rank all over assam. It is a competitive examination held for Students of Assam to get admission to engineering colleges of Assam
