- The most thing I like about this college is the campus life . Because it is green everywhere and there is a lake called deepor bill inside the campus
- Another thing I like about this college is the faculties there are very friendly an approachable and helps us in every aspect
Dislikes
- I don't like the infrastructure of this college because it is very old and
- I don't like my branch because it is very strict
Remarks :
To get admission in this college appeared a entrance exam called Cee, I choose this college because of his large alumina network and it is the oldest college in North East. After getting a good rank in entrance exam you can get admission
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are highly educated and very approachable they teach us very nicely, they also take us to different field trips. The course electrical engineering is little bit outdated for today era but its good though
Internships Opportunities :
Till now I have not opted for any internship but I am applying different internship in different institutes. Maine apna face unlocking as intern in little box or new new startup, some of my friends is also working on startups
Placement Experience :
The minimum eligibility for placement is a student having no back paper, and CGPA should be around 7, some of the recruters are NRL, TCS, little box etc, the average package is around 6lpa, some of the branches has 100% placement but some of the branches has a 50% placement ratio
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
16k for admission. Extra fees form fill up is applicable around 2 3k. Too many scholarship is available for caste or girls. Batiyar is no scholarship for general category, but you can avail ishan uday scholarship
Campus Life :
Campus is very calm and soothing it has very old infrastructure but it's has very great aura, there are two many clubs for extra curricular activities, and there are basketball courts football fields cricket ground too many playgrounds
Hostel Facilities :
It has total 9 hostels, hostel admission fees is around 10000 and monthly fees is around 2600, it has a average quality food and water supply is not very good, you can apply for hostels at the time of admission or in anytime during academic session

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
