Remarks :
The environment of this college is good only. It is covered by hills so there is a lot greenery and fresh air to breathe. But it's roads are terrible so there is a lot of dust which make it polluted but good thing is that the road is being constructed and will be done very soon. Yes, to get into this college you need to appear CEE and based on your marks you scored you will get your college and course.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because i love chemistry. I love those phenomenons that include numerous equations and it make me so surprise. Faculties of this college are well qualified, mostly graduated from top colleges of India and are very professional. Exams are conducted on monthly basis and difficulty level goes up in an increasing order .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
You need to pay around 15000 as yearly tuition fee. And for every semester exam you need to pay 1700-2000. Some other fees include event fee: 2200-2500. So basically within 25000 your whole year will be covered Reservations, if you have, you will get other benefits as well such as fee waiver, special scholarships etc
Campus Life :
The Pyrokinesis is the annual fest of this college, which is one of the largest college fest of NE. Various well known celebrity artists are invited in this period. Books are available for all the students and provided by the library for the whole semester. Various clubs like quiz, drama, robotics, coding, etc. are run over by the students itself
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is okayish. Girls hostel is located separately. Food is not so good here, even though you get veg and non veg items, and every month end there is feast organised. So many dishes are prepared on that day. You need to pay a security deposit of 5000

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
