My review on AEC
Remarks :
I am from Guwahati, Assam where this college is. The college is 15Km far from my home and hence i can travel and do not have to stay in hostel. Also, the college is away from city hustle bustle so a peaceful environment is there. Yes, to get admission into this college one need to sit for Combined Entrance Examination, shortly CEE. It is comparatively easier to crack this exam than JEE
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because i love machines. Machines are very fascinating. And also, Mechanical Engineering department of AEC is very famous for it's past achievements. The teachers are very qualified. Most of the teachers are very senior and have great knowledge of the course. Exams are conducted in a fixed interval. In every month we have term exams and difficulty level gradually increases, though not much difficult. One can easily score good marks if they have strong hold in their basic
Internships Opportunities :
As i am in 2nd year, i haven't done any internship yet. But as per my seniors, internship opportunities are quite good here. You can have a good field knowledge by doing such internships which will help in future job opportunities.
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placements are as similar to other colleges. For ideal cases you shouldn't have any active backlogs in 4th year. However, it depends on the company. Some of the companies like vedantu, OIL, NRL and many other top PSUs come to our college. Highest package of this year till now is 17 lakh. Good number of students get placed every year. I am planning to do job after graduation
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The above fees figure includes yearly admission fee, exam registration(2 semesters), fest fee and some other miscellaneous fee. It won't be more than 25000. Admission fee is around 15000 and if you have ration card or income certificate then you will have to pay 1250 less, etc.
Campus Life :
Pyrokinesis is the annual and one of the biggest college fest on North East which is conducted by AEC. It is conducted in the month of February and many known artists from different parts of India are invited in this fest. AEC has a significantly big library. Everyone can a borrow books from here, one thing to mention that no one have to buy book for their entire graduation time in AEC. It provides all the necessary books to each student. AEC has good sports culture. The students take part in various competitions and also bring trophies. Talking about clubs, yes AEC provides students with various clubs to enhance their extra curriculum activities like photography, robotics, art, quiz, and many more.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
