Review on NIE north college Mysore

What I Liked

I liked the faculty and curriculum in the college
I liked the city where the college is located.

What I didn’t like

Actually there are 2 campuses, one (south) for core branches(EC, EEE, mech, etc...) and other(north) for IT branches(CSE, ISE and AIML)and these 2 are almost 14 to 15 km apart. north is almost out of city and south is proper in the city
The fest are limited and all main fest are done in south (i.e core branches one). so the one in north will miss the events.

Placement Experience:

placements here in nie are too good.last year the highest package was around 43 lpa and packages averages around 10lpa . out of 125 ,105 students from ISE got placed as of my knowledge.many companies like JP Morgan, TCS , Infosys, Oracle, L&T come here for recruitment

Internships Opportunities:

no I have not opted for any internships as I am my 1st semester and I plan to get into some internships in future any how there lot of internships opportunities in here, and even students are allowed to get outsides internship once after taking permission from the principal

A brief review on the journey at NIE IT

What I Liked

The college has a very good eco friendly environment
Faculties were good with their profession and supported us well .

What I didn’t like

They didn't provide proper placement opportunities
They did not conduct a proper farewell or a graduation day at the end of the course

Placement Experience:

Placement and internship opportunities were really bad no well known companies had come for placements, and only sales and call center companies had visited for placements which was a really bad experience.

Internships Opportunities:

The internship was not provided by the college we had to search for offline internships on our own as online internships were not considered, but the lecturers guided us by sharing some good offline internships that we could pursue

A brief review on the experience at NIE IT

What I Liked

The infrastructure of the college is really good , huge campus, nature and canteens it has a good vibe around it
The faculties are friendly and the campus life was okay as we had really less social activities in the college

What I didn’t like

The college fests were not organised well and at the final year they didn't even organise a proper farewell nor a graduation day to us who were graduating.
The fact that they didn't even organise a proper farewell was really disappointing.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job opportunities were very less, initially, we had some companies visiting us but later nope only sales companies used to come for placement, no core or IT company came for interviews which was a really bad experience.

Internships Opportunities:

I had opted for an internship on my own, no internships were provided through the college, so we on our own had to try for internship opportunities. Offline internships are more often preferred than online internships.
