New Horizon College of Engineering, established in 2001, is an autonomous engineering college affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). It offers BE, MBA, MCA, MTech, PhD courses at the UG and PG level.

For admission to the BE program candidates need to have a valid score in KCET.
For M.Tech, MBA and MCA admissions candidates must have a valid score in Karnataka PGCET.
GATE-qualified candidates can apply for the M.Tech program. For MBA programs, NHCE accepts CAT/ MAT or XAT scores. For MCA admission candidates must qualify KMAT. PhD and MSc (Engg.) admission is made based on performance in the Research Aptitude Test (RAT) and Personal Interview.

NHCE Bangalore BTech Admission 2025

NHCE offers 4 four-year BE programs in nine specializations and admission to all these specializations is offered based either directly on a merit basis or rank obtained by a candidate in KCET conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).

NHCE Bangalore BTech Admission 2025 Eligibility

Candidates must have passed their 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (relaxable by 40% for the candidates of SC/ST/ candidates) with Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/ Computer Science as mandatory subjects from any recognized state board.
Candidates must have domiciles in Karnataka.
Admission to the management quota is done based on merit. Candidates must have 50% aggregate marks in every subject. Candidates with a sports background can apply for a sports quota seat with an aggregate of 50%.

NHCE Bangalore BTech Admission 2025 Selection Criteria

The selection for admission to BE is made based on marks scored by a student in the qualifying exam i.e. KCET or KRLMPCA CET.
Students are offered direct admission from the management quota based on the merit list prepared by the institute on the marks scored by the students in their 10+2.

NHCE offers a 2-year MTech program in 3 different specializations i.e. Computer Science and Engineering, Machine Design, and Cyber Forensic and Information Security.

NHCE Bangalore MTech Admission 2025 Eligibility

Computer Science & Engineering and Cyber Forensic & Information Security:

Candidates are required to have a valid score of GATE in CS (Computer Science) or Karnataka PGCET and must have completed their bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology in Computer Science & Engineering/ Information science from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).

Machine Design:

Candidates need to qualify for the GATE in ME (Mechanical Engineering or Karnataka PGCET entrance examination and must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial & Production Engineering/Automobile Engineering from a recognized university or college with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (relaxable by 45% for the students of SC/ST category).

NHCE selects the best eligible students with a valid GATE score or based on performance in the Karnataka PGCET entrance examination for the M.Tech program.

NHCE offers a 2 years MBA program in five distinct specializations: Marketing, Business Analytics, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations.

NHCE Bangalore MBA Admission 2025 Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Candidates wishing to apply for an MBA in NHCE must have completed their bachelor’s degree or graduated from any recognized stream and university.
A candidate should have secured at least a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (relaxable by 45% for the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories).
The selection to the MBA program is made only after a candidate has successfully qualified for CAT/ MAT/ XAT with a valid score.
If a candidate has not appeared for the above-mentioned entrance examinations, he/she can be admitted to the MBA program based on the Karnataka PGCET score.
Admission is done on a merit basis.

A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for reserved categories) from any recognized university or college is required for an MCA in NHCE.
Students must have studied Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Programming/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Business Mathematics or Business Statistics at the graduation level.
The candidates are selected either on the merit basis of Karnataka PGCET or KMAT.

What I Liked

the infrastructure is well driven and neat
the canteens are 4 ddifferent varities, and offering different types of food per canteen

What I didn’t like

the attendance policy is 85%, it is difficult for students to manage
sometimes, some teachers are stricter and mean ,

i got this college through kcet counselling karnataka, and i think it is a good college for placements, fests, infrastructor, and faculties. the admission rounds for kcet is very challenging because it has 3 rounds of counselling

Review of New horizon college of engineering

What I Liked

I like the infrastructure means the buildings are very good and they are good looking and the Teachers are also will behaved they support students
I like the campus life here like the sports both indoor and outdoor sports

What I didn’t like

I don't like the rules inside this college which are very strict for example you cannot wrong in this college without wearing a ID card which is frustrating
I don't like the behaviour of some of the receptionist the act very rude for everyone

I choose this college because it have good placements and have good infrastructure I join at this college from kcet exam I did discussion about this college in online studying about the reviews about this college and found out this college was good and after joining it is indeed good it have good teachers in this college it don't have difficult admission process we should pay the fees online through the bank and should get the admission letter and can easily join this college I studied hard to get in this college

Remarks:

No there no tests for admission as it was done through management quota. This college is known to have a good industry connect which made me consider it. There was no interview or written examination.

My days at nhce

What I Liked

It's pretty small but has got everything in it, good hangout spots are tango cafeteria, udupi and nescafe
The campus Is really neat and it's a plastic free campus

What I didn’t like

I don't really like the vibes of the students around here
Campus is a bit small for such a huge crowd

Remarks:

Getting admission in this college is really easy. All you have to do is enter and pay the fee if you have passed your 12th grade. But with the extra amount ofcourse. I joined this college because my scores were too low to get into any of the top colleges in Bangalore

NHCE: The Experience.

What I Liked

Campus life; amazing campus multiple places to just chill and amazing chai
Cafeterias ; there are 4 cafeterias in college each offering its unique kind of food.

What I didn’t like

HOD; they’re strict and good to be off their radar but teachers are sweet
No free car parking; bikes have free parking but car parking is 10k / year

Remarks:

I got into other colleges like Manipal and vit but for ece, I wanted cse and my cet score helped me get through with this college for a good price. As the fees wasn’t very expensive being a day scholar I went for it.

Sharing reality and thoughts

What I Liked

I like everything about the campus life in the college provided the nature look infrastructure. The college is been development since years so students can find different opportunities in different field's, faculties are very good in teaching and helping to enroll in different sector opportunities provided. The canteens are really good. The library, digital library are very helpful for the students.
The ground has peaceful vibes view given in the morning , and the Ganesha temple has rich in heritage and Blissful vibes. Through gods grace

What I didn’t like

Nothing to be unlike about the campus or anything mentioned above. The only thing is without id card the college won't allow inside.
All the functions or fest are almost done at night times the day scholars feel difficult to come and enjoy and go home at time.

Remarks:

Yes I had a discussion with my parents and friends before I joined this college. As I mentioned before I had to write kcet entry exam for the engineering course which college had certain cut off for the student to join for specific course. For my course I secured the cut off range rank and got the seat in new horizon college of engineering.

living above the horizon

What I Liked

good building structures and spacious rooms for labs , classes
the garden is best which which stands in the mid of the college
canteen is present in more than 3 places in college
nearby bus stop is there and there is upcoming metro

What I didn’t like

The sports category needs to be added few more items
more clubs in other fields are also required

I have attended this college interview counselling round after getting eligibility in KCET cutoff for my course is ranking less than 2.75 lakh and i prepared using the help of youtube videos of KEA department.

What I Liked

Campus is surrounded by trees and has a peaceful vibe
The timing of college is very good and not very stressful

What I didn’t like

The faculty could be better and have more advanced syllabus
The placement could have been improved and fair for everyone.

Remarks:

The main factor to choose this college was the location of college which is easily accessible and good reputation. There were no group discussions or interviews for joining the college it was solely based on 12th standard marks and management quota fee which had to be paid for reserving the seat on first come first serve basis

What I Liked

The campus life is amazing as I live in the hostel. The area around the college is great too. The college has a gym aswell for fitness
The college has well equipped labs,modern classrooms and good library. The campus is overall well maintained

What I didn’t like

The college can be very strict for no reasons. Unnecessary transactions are demanded every now and then. Fines are wayy tooo high

Remarks:

The high placement numbers, the great campus and the ease of access to this college. I got admission through management quota. The college offers admissions through their own entrance exam aswell. They consider KCET ranking aswell
