RCCIIT Kolkata UG Admission 2026

B.Tech. is the flagship undergraduate programme at RCCIIT Kolkata. It is available in 5 specializations. The institute also permits eligible diploma holders to enter directly in the second year through B.Tech. lateral admission.

For the regular 4-year B.Tech. course, selection depends on a valid JEE Main or WBJEE score. Qualified students must then take part in the WBJEE online counselling process. The final seat assignment follows the merit list issued during counselling.

B.Tech. Eligibility Requirements

• Regular B.Tech.: Students must have passed 10+2 from a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• B.Tech. Lateral Entry: Applicants need a Diploma in Engineering or Technology with at least 60% marks from an AICTE-recognized Polytechnic Institute.

B.Tech. Selection and Application Process

Regular B.Tech. applicants are shortlisted through JEE Main or WBJEE scores and the subsequent WBJEE counselling process.

Eligible students must complete the online admission form on the RCCIIT Kolkata website. After submitting it, they need to email scanned copies of the required documents to the institute's specified email address. At admission, both the original records and their scanned copies must be presented for verification.

RCCIIT Kolkata PG Admission 2026

At the postgraduate level, RCCIIT Kolkata conducts M.Tech. and MCA programmes. M.Tech. is offered in 3 specializations. Admission to M.Tech. uses PGET or GATE scores, followed by counselling.

PG Eligibility Requirements

M.Tech.: Applicants must hold a graduation degree in the field in which they want admission.

MCA: Students may apply after passing BCA, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering, or an equivalent degree.

Alternatively, MCA admission is open to students who meet the following conditions:

• They have passed B.Sc., B.Com. or B.A. and studied Mathematics at the 10+2 level. Additional bridge courses may be required under the rules of the concerned university.
• They hold a graduate or equivalent degree under the 10+2+3 pattern in any discipline and obtained at least 50% in the qualifying examination. The minimum is 45% for reserved-category students.

PG Selection Process

M.Tech.: Selection is made using a PGET or GATE score. The next stage is counselling conducted by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal.

MCA: Students are admitted through a PGET score or on merit.

• Open the RCCIIT website and register for an account.
• Use the verification message sent to the registered email address. Once verified, sign in with the user ID and password.
• Go to the “Enquiry” section, enter all requested information correctly and submit the form.
• If shortlisted, attend online counselling based on the entrance examination rank and selected discipline.
• Students selected in counselling must report to the institute with their original academic records and valid identity proof.
• The chosen course is allotted after successful document verification.
