The college was a semi government college but now it is a autonomous institution un the university known as Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of technology to get admission in the this college you need to appear for WBJEE and JEE mains and need to appear for counseling
The teachers are helpful and supportive. The push you a lot. The discipline is very strict. The regularities are appreciated. Very good infrastructure. The classes are from 10 am to 4pm. The lab assistants are very helpful
Internships are not offered you need to apply for Internships based upon your skills developed. Projects are offered by teachers to students on demand and students along with teachers. Students are also encouraged to take part in hackathons
There should be no active backlogs in the 4th year ie 7th semester onwards the few recruiters are bmc, jhonson controls, cognizant, PWC, TCS, accentuate approxmatey 80% eligible candidates gets placed.
The fees taken during admission was 70,000 then 2nd semester fees us around 60,000 in 3rd semester 50,000 is taken in 4th semester 50,000 is taken in 5th semester 45,000 is taken 6th semester 45,000 is taken 40,000 is for both 7th and 8th semester
There are three fests, freshers and Saraswatipuja is taken place. Freshers happen in the month of October in general. The three fest include one inter college sports meet this happens in the month of january, one technical fest and one cultural fest
There is No hostel there in the college but there are a lot of flats available near college at low cost. There are pg,s avaliable in the near about location. The rent for flats in the are about 7000 for 1bhk and pg is about 3k
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
