RCCIIT One of the Best Engineering Colleges in Kolkata
Remarks :
Honestly, I didn't have any colleges planned. I just prepared for JEE MAINS and whichever college I could get into was good to go. After the 2nd round after MAINS, I got into RCCIIT enrolling for B tech in IT.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I would have gone for CSE if I could. But IT is good enough if I know how to build myself in the field of Computer Science in the modern world. And also we have great faculty members in our college. Friendly and helpful teachers and other staff members. Exams are conducted in very strict manners following University regulations. And my studying is aided by the WB Student Credit. Overall it's been a great experience since it's almost been 3 years into this college.
Placement Experience :
Our college has a great record in campus placements almost 80-90% of students get good placement opportunities from the college. I don't know much personally cause placements to take place after completing 3rd year. As I complete this semester and then move on to the last year we will be getting placement opportunities from the college. I wanted to do some business of my own so I plan to get into whatever job I can get for around 4-5 lpa and save up money for my future business plans and eventually leave my job.
Campus Life :
My campus and social life in college are not something to brag about. I don't talk to most of the people in college, except 3-4 friends I made even before we started going to college when I started staying at a PG. I don't participate in many college activities except for my studies. I stay in a PG in about 10-15 minutes of walking distance from the college and the environment is great. That's all about my campus and social life in college.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
