Established in 1984, Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Technology is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. The institute is AICTE approved and has been accredited with Grade A by the NAAC. The Times of India and India Today ranked VESIT Mumbai for BTech at 50 and 153, respectively, in 2024.
 

VESIT Mumbai offers BE in six specialisations. Candidates should have cleared 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects, with an aggregate of 45%. The selection is based on MHT CET Scores for Maharashtra State students, while students from Other States are selected based on JEE Mains Scores. The total intake of this program is 720 students. The total fees of this four-year, full time program is Rs 5.71 Lakhs. In addition to BE, VESIT Mumbai courses offer BE Lateral, ME, MCA, and PhD.

Scholarships at Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Technology Mumbai are granted to meritorious students. Students with a family income of Rs 3 Lakhs or less, who have scored 7 GPA are granted VES Scholarships. Vivekananda Jyoti Scholarship of Rs 30,000 is granted to a meritorious student from each department, having a family income of less than Rs 1 LPA. 20 meritorious students from different departments are granted a financial aid of Rs 15,000, every year. The Geeta Israni Foundation awards Rs 10,000 to meritorious and needy students from second year, per annum.

VESIT Mumbai Placements 2024 are currently ongoing. So far, INR 14.5 LPA is the highest salary that has been offered. A total of 393 students have been placed. 110 companies visited the campus and ended up offering 408 jobs to students. Top recruiters included Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan & Chase, Nomura, General Mills, Capgemini, and L&T Info.
