NIFTEM B.Tech Admissions 2024

NIFTEM offers admission in B.Tech programmes as the rules are given by the Academic Council and Government of India in Food Technology and Management. The time duration for the B.Tech course is 4 years and the total capacity for intake is 180 students.

10+2 examination with science stream and minimum of 50% marks should be obtained in all subjects.

The candidates are selected on the basis of JEE Main which is led by online counselling taken by NIFTEM.

NIFTEM M.Tech Admissions 2024

NIFTEM roffers courses in five specializations in the field of M.Tech the time duration of two years and total capacity is 18 in each specialization courses.

  • Admission to the courses are done on the basis of GATE results led by personal interview.
  • Merit List will be prepared based on a valid GATE score multiplied by 0.07 (70% weightage) and the marks will be added to the marks which will be obtained in the Interview.
  • For those applicants who have not appeared for GATE, for those Non-GATE applicants the college will hold an entrance test led by interview.
  • Applicants who will score more than the cut off or equal to that will be called for an interview. In case all the seats are taken by GATE candidates no entrance exam will be held for the Non-GATE ones.

Minimum Eligibility for the candidates for M.Tech should have passed Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a specific degree with minimum 60% marks.

NIFTEM MBA Admissions 2024

NIFTEM offers admission in MBA two specializations. It is compulsory for a student to pursue Food & Agriculture Business Management along with any one of the Finance, Marketing or International Business stream.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Eligibility for the candidates for MBA is that they should have passed bachelor’s degree in any course with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).

Selection Criteria

Final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of CAT/MAT score, GD/PI, academic performance and work experience. For Non- CAT/MAT candidates, the college holds an entrance test.

NIFTEM Ph.D Admissions 2024

NIFTEM offers five specializations with a total capacity of 22 students. Minimum eligibility for Ph.D. is M.Tech/ Master’s degree in specific courses with at least 60% marks. Preference will be given to NET qualified candidates.

  • Admission will be conducted on the basis of Research Entrance Test (RET) followed by Interview/ Presentation conducted by NIFTEM.

Ques. How difficult is it to get admission into NIFTEM?

Ans: It is not that difficult to get admission in NIFTEM, the reason being it’s a unique institute with specialization in a single course for undergraduate i.e food technology one of its own kind. Any rank upto 70K to 80K in AIEEE mains can get admission in general category in B.Tech and if one wants to pursue M.Tech he/she must be qualified in GATE.
