Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering & Technology (GKCIET) Malda is a government college established in 2010. The college is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. It is approved by the AICTE and MHRD. The institute offers B.Tech and Diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Technology, Electrical Engineering, Food Processing Technology and Mechanical Engineering.

GKCIET Malda offers admission to B.Tech as its flagship program. To be eligible for admission, the candidate must have passed 10+2 in the PCM stream with 50% marks from a recognized board. The selection criteria for admission is based on the valid scores obtained in the JEE Main / GKCIET Entrance Test / WBJEE.

GKCIET Malda provides various scholarships to its students namely Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (For students domiciled in West Bengal for INR 8K to INR 50K), Oasis Scholarship (For students who have secured admission to basic and natural science courses for INR 80K), Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme for RPF/RPSF (For ward, Pragati Scholarship for Female students, and Saksham Scholarship for specially abled students.
