- I like the Big Campus of the college and the big field which we have for different kind of sports.
- The faculty of our department they are very kind and helpfull.
Dislikes
- The remoteness of the campus the campus is soo far away from the main town is that it's very difficult to travel.
- The Academic section of our college is very slow and very arrogant.
Remarks :
No, I didn't faced any GD or interview to get the seat. I gave my JEE exam and i was unable to get any college for my percentile. GKCIET then released a notification about De-centralized counselling, i.e. I have to be physically present in the campus and take part in the counseling process to get a seat. De-centralized counselling starts when all the rounds of JoSAA and WBJEE counselling is completed so if you get a seat from De-centralized counselling it means you are starting late into the session. There are some very basic Criteria that you must have 40% aggregate in PCM in your 12th and a valid rank card of JEE or WBJEE.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This college is under MAKAUT university so it follows all the rules and regulation of MAKAUT. And as it is an CFTI, holidays are limited as it follows the holidays of Central Government. Faculties are really experienced but not that great. Some professors are really kind and knowledgeable but few of them are very arrogant and unnecessarily strict. Overall if a say on a scale of 1-10 based on behavior, 8/10(it would have been 9 at least but as i mentioned some of them are not that social and unnecessarily strict). The internals exams are timely conducted in a very fair manner no partiality or leniency. It is really easy to score good marks in your internals which it more easy to pass your semester exams.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For my 1st Year I've paid Rs.33,118 including Rs. 605 Admission fees. Breakdown of the Fees: Caution Money-5000(1st SEM),Development Fees-2,200(1st SEM 550/- per Year),Registration Fees-500(1st SEM), Tuition Fees- 3,630, Session charge-6,050, Exam fees-1,530, Student Insurance-145(Each ODD SEM), Medical Fees-182, ID and Library card- 144(1st SEM), Library fees- 1,365, Book Bank-1200(1st Sem), Sport/Extra curricular activities- 4,720(1st SEM), T&P activity Funds- 2,830(1st SEM), Overhead chargers- 3,017. The whole breakdown is given I have also mentioned the semester in which they are applicable, if there's nothing written beside then it means it is applicable Every Semester. Now, Overall if I say For ODD Semester the Total Fees is- Rs. 16,524. For EVEN Semester the Total Fees is- Rs.15,774. NOW FOR SCHOLARSHIP, if you're Home State is West Bengal and then you are applicable for SVMCM Scholarship which gives you Rs. 60k/ year, T&C applied.
Campus Life :
Fest is normally Conducted in the month of March-April. This time the Fest is postponed due to various reasons ranging from result delays and the undergoing development of our campus. Coming to books for the 1st Year Students it's really difficult to able to issue Physics or mathematics book as they are very limited in number, I have complained multiple times about this thing in the college but still the issue remains the same. Sport, the sports scene is i would say decent for football and badminton and some good chess players are also there. Annual Sports is conducted in the month of December. Annual sports is conducted department wise. Clubs there are a lot of clubs but the only Club which is functional is Photography and Robotics.
Hostel Facilities :
Although I've not opted of the Hostel I am a Day scholar but you can eat in the mess for Rs. 50 plate whatever is the menu you'll get that in Rs. 50 Veg Non Veg everything. And the food quality is quite nice. It's clean and the staff are really kind and generous.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
