- Vast college campus and well maintained. Safety for the girls is a priority.
- Hostels are unlike other hostels. They well maintained and very clean. But thr food is horrible.
Dislikes
- The college is a bit far from city area and if you want something, the nearest shop is 30 mins walking distance away.
- The faculty available is getting better than earlier and it still needs to get better
Remarks :
You need to crack WBJEE if you want a seat. You can also get admission through JEE or you also have the option of clearing the exam conducted by the college itself to get an admission. There are no interviews, just written and CBT tests.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The reason to chose this course is because it's a government college. The teachers here have gradually gotten better and now, the new faculty is more better than the last ones. If you apply for a scholarship and your documents are proper, you'll get it approved in no time. The scholarship completely depends on the students and their documents
Internships Opportunities :
Damodar Valley Corporation Role- trainee engineer Task- our main task was to maintain the efficient working of the turbine and boiler. Since it was a government power plant, you get all kinds of exposure to how things are done and how the plant works. Since it's a government power plant, their referrals have 10 times more value than other referrals.
Placement Experience :
Recently placements have gotten better concerning the last batch placement. You can see companies from sales background to software background companies. Edtech companies have been recently showing more interest. You need to clear all your pending backlogs to be able to sit for placements. The highest offer was 7.2 LPA. The average package is around 3.9 LPA.
Campus Life :
We have an annual fest every year around February. The Library is great and well maintained with central AC and very well equipped with books. If they don't have a book you're looking for, they'll make it available to you within a week. We also have sports every year around March. The hostels are very clean and well maintained and well guarded but the food quality is horrible and it only gets worse.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
