A Glimpse Into College Life

What I Liked

College campus is vast and a nice environment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like biology so chose this biotechnology course as I didn't get medicine stream. Teaching is good and study materials are provided but students need to put extra efforts to score good marks apart from it. 2 Sem per year.

Remarks:

As Anna University is a prestigious Instituition joined here. I opted for Biotechnology course so joined in ACT, AU. Admission process is based on our cut off marks in our 12th boards from subjects mathematics, physics and chemistry.

What I Liked

Highly qualified faculties and supportive faculties
Excellent library and learning resources

What I didn’t like

Administrative delays, Infrastructure limitations
Placement opportunities for niche students and campus life limitations

Placement Experience:

Placement are provided for all the student in final year of college.They give job opportunities for all the individual students.The eligibility critieria is all clear cgpa is not highly recommended for placements

Alagappa college of technology is a premier institute under anna university. It is known for its focus on chemical, textile, leather and food technology education and research. Alagappa college of technology offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programme across many departments

Not a topper but a good learner.

What I Liked

College infrastructure is very good like air conditioned class rooms and smart education with Android TV. The staffs are very good and friendly and help us at anytime.

What I didn’t like

Nee improvements in placements. Other than that all seems good in my point of view.

Placement Experience:

The criteria for placements depend upon the company. Some company said that there is no history of arrears and some company said that there is no current arrears. The list of companies that they visited for recruiting are AVT, Clarks, TCS, Accenture, etc. The highest package is 8LPA in non-core. The percentage of placements in leather departments is nearly 75%.

Remarks:

I chose leather technology because this is the only college which have a B.Tech degree. All clubs like students club, skill development clubs, NSS, NCC, NSO, YRC, talent building club, etc. are available in this college. And most clubs are in active stages. This college has a cleaner environment and eco friendly. Through the TNEA counselling process admission will happen. For my department, management quota is also available and the cost of the seat will depends on your marks and cut-offs.

THE BEST COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

What I Liked

I love the infrastructure of the college.
The social life and the faculties are two of the best parts of this college. The time table is very lenient and flexible. You can go home before 4 itself if you don't have any class hours.

What I didn’t like

Some faculties are biased and they will reduce marks if you don't behave well to them.
The presence of relative grading is very annoying. I am intelligent and I get good marks at times. But I'll lose my grade as others are well versed with analytical problem solving. I have the conceptual knowledge and lack in problem solving ability, that's why I lose good grades.

Placement Experience:

The placements differ from department to department. My department has an awesome placement cell, which brings in a lot of companies for students to get placed. About 80 percent of the students go out of the campus with a job in their hands. The average package is 6LPA. I am interested in higher studies, therefore I won't be sitting for the placement drives.

Remarks:

The admissions for this college were purely based on your high school qualifying examination marks, which are rounded off to a cut-off, with contributions from Math, Physics, and Chemistry. You don't need to go through GD or PI.

I chose textile technology,cuz it's different from other ordinary course like cs,it,ece,eee etc The staffs in textile department are amazing They are student friendly and teaches us everything related to textile and clear our doubts anytime

Top ranked university in Tamil Nadu and 100% assurance for campus placement We can learn everything related to our course Excellent lab and teaching staffs facilities available As the college is located at middle of the city,so it's easy for transportation From any corner of the world
