Insides in a medical college

What I Liked

I love the technology the college owns and the achievements it had achieved in the past time
The faculty is excellent in the field and the campus is well maintained

What I didn’t like

I hate the mess food and there are very food stalls near the college
since the sports grounds are in construction we barely have any space to play anything except badminton

Placement Experience:

Since I'm a medical student we have one year of internship at the end of the course and it pays around 12k to 15k that's too less but we cannot do anything since it's a state university. Though in PG the stipend is above 1lakh

Internships Opportunities:

Nope I didn't opted for any internship program though we have some research programs that pays around 50k per month but that's for 3 or 4 months not more than that. We have multiple research programs that pays for than 50000 as well

A good college will be best in near future

What I Liked

Faculty is very supportive Academics is best Newer machines knowledge
Library has all types of books which is best Hostel is best i have ever seen

What I didn’t like

Mess food is sometimes not eatable that we had to go out sometime
Hostel is away from the college although buses are provided by college free of cost

Placement Experience:

College provides jobs as non academic junior resident and senior resident Pg in our college is best as all types of modern machines and technology is being used which are not available in kgmc also which makes it best

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is after the final year Duties are provided in wards and ots and opds As there are many branches We can gain the best clinical knowledge at this time As we have already taken theoritical knowledge in lectures here we get opportunity to apply it

What I Liked

The college boasts impressive infrastructure, featuring a modern 13-floor building equipped with centralized air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable environment for students and faculty alike. The design of the building not only facilitates academic activities but also provides ample space for relaxation, with well-appointed common rooms on various floors. These common areas are thoughtfully designed to offer a peaceful retreat where students can unwind and recharge during breaks. The infrastructure is a testament to the college's commitment to providing a conducive learning environment, blending academic rigor with necessary amenities for student well-being.
The campus life is vibrant and dynamic, surrounded by a plethora of clubs, pubs, restaurants, and cafes that cater to diverse tastes and preferences. Students can enjoy a lively social scene with numerous event centers nearby that regularly host popular artists like Armaan Malik, Shaan, Anuv Jain, and Zaeden. Additionally, the comedy scene is equally exciting, with stand-up comedians such as Anubhav Singh Bassi and Abhishek Upmanyu performing live. This thriving environment ensures that there's always something happening, making the campus experience not just academically enriching but also socially fulfilling and enjoyable.

What I didn’t like

Travel Time Between College and Hostel One of the challenges of studying at Lucknow Government Medical College is the significant distance between the college and the hostels, which are approximately 10 kilometers apart. This distance results in an average travel time of around 20 minutes, which can add up over time, especially when combined with a busy academic schedule. While a free bus service is provided, the commute still consumes valuable time that could otherwise be spent on studies, rest, or extracurricular activities. The daily travel can be a bit taxing, impacting the overall convenience for students.
Lack of Proper Sports Ground and Activities While the college excels in academics and clinical training, the lack of proper sports grounds is a noticeable drawback. The campus has limited sports facilities, offering only a badminton court, a volleyball court, and two table tennis tables. This scarcity of options restricts students from fully engaging in physical activities, which are essential for maintaining a balanced lifestyle. Although the college rents a mini stadium during the annual fest, Avensis, to accommodate sports events, the year-round absence of comprehensive sports facilities limits opportunities for students to participate in regular athletic activities.
Tight Class Schedules and Attendance Requirements The academic rigor at Lucknow Government Medical College is intense, with tight class schedules and a stringent attendance requirement of 80%. The demanding curriculum leaves little room for breaks or holidays, pushing students to maintain a consistent focus on their studies. While this structure ensures thorough preparation for professional exams, it also means that students have limited time to unwind and engage in extracurricular activities. The lack of flexibility in the schedule can be challenging, particularly when balancing academic commitments with personal well-being, making it crucial for students to manage their time effectively

Placement Experience:

It is one of most respected instituties in state of uttar pradesh so if u want to opt as non-pg JR in any other college having the name of rmlims in your resume will surely increase your chances. There are lot of options to pursue after doing mbbs from here . No one goes jobless after mbbs from Here.

Internships Opportunities:

At the end of MBBS every one has to do a mandatory internship for 1.5 years at the college hospital itself rotating in various departments of the college. The internship is paid by the government of state with an monthly stipend of 12000rs

College is good with some issues you should know before getting admission.

What I Liked

College is average as it lacks mess and playground for students which are very necessary in daily life of a student.
Infrastructure of the college is excellent with new labs, new equipments and great building but there is issue of connectivity between hostel and college due to distance between them.

Placement Experience:

1-year internship is provided and is mandatory for every student. After that bond is signed with the state government to do a job in a rural part of the state for 2 years with all the students. So everyone will have a job after completion of the course.

Internships Opportunities:

I did not opt for a scholarship. But anyone with a financially poor background can opt for a state scholarship. After the course, one year of internship is mandatory in the same hospital with a stipend of 12000 a month.

What I Liked

I like the infrastructure of our college, the equipments in the laboratory. Our pathology department is the state refferal centre ,
Even though having a small campus area , this college has got some of the best infrastructure, faculty.

What I didn’t like

Hostel is far from the college, which is not a good thing

Placement Experience:

In MBBS there are no placement as of now , there is a 2 year bond in our college just like the other state college of uttar pradesh. There is an exam known as NEET PG / NEXT which one can give after completing the course to pursue pg courses like md /ms

Internships Opportunities:

In MBBS course itself , after the completion of final year i e the 4th year internship of one year duration starts . One works under residents and professors for one year and is paid a decent stipend of 10-14 thousand per month

No placement scene after MBBS If you want then you can join any hospital with pay of 1 lakh per month You can give NEET PG and then join ither college or same college In PG you will get stipend of 1 lakh
