In Ramakrishna mission Vivekananda centenary college there was a admission test held after BSc or after 12 if you want to do course after BSc then you have to give admission test on a particular dates settle by the college authority. And in this admission test 30 %seat is reserved for college own student and and remaining 70% seat was block for the outside student. And after qualifying the exam you have to meet with our principal sir or Maharaj with the parents and after the meeting you will get finally admission.

After the Higher Secondary examination due to low marks the only option to get into a good college was the Entrance Examination. So I applied to the three Ramakrishna Missions. After the written test I was selected at Rahara in B.Sc. (Hons) CS with entrance merit rank 9 and took admission without waiting for the other two. As RKMVCC doesn't have a hostel facility, the restrictions were less so it was better for me as I am a student who studies at midnight. The main attraction to get admitted was the NIRF rank of the college which was 13th at that time but now it is 8th with NAAC A++ (3.8 out of 4). First, the college is run by Ramakrishna Mission which in itself is a big name in the field of education, secondly, I checked that the success rate in the IIT JAM Exam of this college is very high. After researching the faculty I learned that all of them are highly educated and skilled in their field. There was a written admission test to get into this college l. The questions were not that hard but required deep knowledge of the subject to solve them. If you love your subject, you can solve them. The final cutoff marks are based upon this admission test marks and your marks in the subject in 12th. Your overall 12th mark does not matter, only in the subject that you want to further study.

The college has a great campus and classes, along with a good teacher-to-student ratio. Also, all the laboratory infrastructure and facilities are top-notch and far better than several colleges and they still take minimal tuition fees compared to other colleges. For admission, you need to appear for an entrance exam, which you can get to know from the college website. The merit list is based on the entrance test marks and your board's mark sheet. No such GD or PI is conducted for the selection of candidates. For the entrance test, you need to have a decent amount of knowledge about the subject you are trying to join.

- The Ramakrishna Mission is known for its excellent practice of discipline and quality education. This college is no exception. I had heard many good things about this college before admission, and everyone advised me to get into a college. - The form fill-up for admission to this college started earlier than other college. Because of the COVID situation, the entrance exam was conducted online in Google Forms. For Computer Science, it was a Math exam. I thought it would be easy, but the questions were not easy at all. And the number of questions was large too, in my theory it was that way to prevent cheating. - The entrance exam had 50% weightage and Higher Secondary result had the other 50%. I did not prepare separately for this exam but preparation for JEE helped me answer a lot of questions.

This is a very renowned college in West Bengal, and they provide quality education. We were the COVID batch and we had an online MCQ-based exam round before admission. The minimum cut-off for registering in computer science is 70% in Mathematics in 12 Board Exam
