Likes
- College infrastructure is worth the praise, no complaint about facilities, classroom amenities, lab equipment etc.
- Faculties are well qualified. And they are very helpful in studies. They give you time even after regular hours if you ask for any help.
- There are absolutely no politics and political interference in this college. It's very peaceful.
- The management is very helpful and responsive, any student can reach out to the Principal or Vice Principal easily if they have any problems.
Dislikes
- Currently there are no hostels of this colleges, although there are large numbers of mess and pg, a hostel under RKM near the college will definitely help.
- Postgraduate studies are not offered in all the departments including Computer Science. It will be very helpful if all the departments start Postgraduate courses too.
Remarks :
- The Ramakrishna Mission is known for its excellent practice of discipline and quality education. This college is no exception. I had heard many good things about this college before admission, and everyone advised me to get into a college. - The form fill-up for admission to this college started earlier than other college. Because of the COVID situation, the entrance exam was conducted online in Google Forms. For Computer Science, it was a Math exam. I thought it would be easy, but the questions were not easy at all. And the number of questions was large too, in my theory it was that way to prevent cheating. - The entrance exam had 50% weightage and Higher Secondary result had the other 50%. I did not prepare separately for this exam but preparation for JEE helped me answer a lot of questions.
Course Curriculum Overview :
- The course curriculum is very well organized and easy to follow. But this doesn't mean studying is easy. The pressure of study is pretty good. Classes are held regularly, and exams are always on time. There are two exams per semester, one is mid mid-semester exam and then the final exam. The faculties are very well qualified. They are very helpful in studies. They teach with both blackboard and projector.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are very good in this college, both for industrial and research internships. Students are encouraged to opt for internships in the second year. You are free to choose internships yourself, and teachers and management help you get one if you ask for it and show effort. Many students got research internships on the research of AI, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Quantum Computing, Graph Theory, Algorithms, etc.
Placement Experience :
The placements are conducted off-campus. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, etc. hire students. This college will prepare you more for higher education than a job immediately after your BSc. However if you work for yourself, the college will help you with everything possible.
Campus Life :
There is very little to talk about campus life as there are no hostels. Although the campus is beautiful and clean. The library is well-equipped with necessary books and journals, and it's open until 6 pm if you want to study in peace. - The college canteen is very trustworthy. The menu is pretty tasty and healthy. A monthly meal system is available to students at in affordable price. - The fests in this college are not like other colleges. Fests are modest and celebrated politely. Fest is defined by Indian culture. - Extracurricular activities including sports are well practiced.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
