CUO PhD Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission at CUO Koraput in PhD, candidates must fulfil the criteria mentioned below:-

Admission Procedure For PhD Course

The detailed admission procedure is given below:-

  • Admission to PhD programmes will be based on National Eligibility Test (NET) scores
  • Candidates with JRF (UGC-CSIR NET JRF/GATE/CEED/ICAR-NET/ICAR-AICE JRF/SRF) will be admitted as per UGC Notification (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of PhD Degree) Regulations, 2022.
  • For NET-qualified candidates (Categories 2 and 3), admission will be based on 70% weightage for test scores and 30% weightage for the interview.
  • The marks obtained in NET-2024 will be valid for one year for admission to PhD.
  • Candidates qualified for fellowship/scholarship in UGC-CSIR NET/GATE/CEED/ICAR-NET/ICAR-AICE JRF/SRF (PhD)-2024 will also be eligible for the PhD programme.
  • A 5% reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will be provided, and the remaining PwBD candidates will be shortlisted on a merit basis.
