LNM Institute of Information Technology invites applications for Ph.D Mathematics (Full/Part-time) December 2024 session. Interested candidates can apply online before November 25, 2024, on the university website. The written test and Interview will be conducted on December 12 or 13, 2024.

LNMIIT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria for the LNMIIT Ph.D Mathematics:-

Full-Time Ph.D Program

• Master's Degree with Minimum 55% marks or equivalent CPI/CGPA in Mathematics or a relevant subject. OR
• Bachelor's Degree (4-year program) in Science/Engineering (relevant to Mathematics) with minimum 90% marks or equivalent CPI/CGPA and valid GATE score of 99 percentile or above in the relevant area.
• Final-year students can apply, they must submit qualifying certificates/mark sheets at the time of admission.

Part-Time Ph.D Program

• Same academic requirements as full-time PhD candidates.
• The work experience requirements are:

1. For Master's degree holders: 1 year of work experience (post qualification)
2. For Bachelor's degree holders: 3 years of work experience (post qualification)

• Must submit No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer, giving an undertaking that s/he would be released from the normal duties to fulfill the course-work requirement (and qualifier examination, if applicable)

LNMIIT Application Fees

The application fees for Ph.D program are as follows:

• For Male Candidates- INR 500
• For Female Candidates- INR 250

LNMIIT Ph.D Admission Procedure

• Applicants meeting eligibility criteria will be called for a written test followed by a personal interview.
• Candidates with national-level fellowships (like CSIR/UGC-NET-JRF, etc.) may be exempted from the written test and proceed directly to the interview.
• Candidates who qualified NET in June 2024 or later may also be exempted from the written test and be directly called for an interview. For merit, 70% weight is given to NET marks and 30% to the interview.
• GATE-qualified candidates are also exempt from the written test. For merit, 70% weight is given to GATE marks, and 30% to the interview.

LNMIIT Ph.D Program Fee Structure

LNMIIT Ph.D Fellowship/Financial Assistance

• Fellowship amount INR 50,000 per month for three years, with a possible extension of up to 6 months (maximum twice) for valid reasons.
• Partial financial support may be provided to meritorious for attending workshops, short courses, and presenting papers at conferences, as per institute norms.
• Medical benefits and insurance are provided according to institute norms.
• Tuition fee waiver is available for high-quality publications.
