Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has concluded the CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 board exams on February 15, 2025. Exams took place in one shift from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at centres across India. Around 42 lakh students are expected to appear for the Class 10 and Class 12 CBSE board exams. It will be conducted in 7842 exam centers across India and 26 contries abroad.
CBSE Class 10th 2025 first exam is English (Communicative, Literature and Lanuguage). The English paper was reported to be easy based on the feedback of appearing candidates. The first exam for CBSE Class 12th Boards 2025 is Entrepreneurship, which is reported to be easy to moderate. Class 10 exams end on March 18, 2025 and Class 12 on April 4, 2025.
CBSE 2025 Exam Analysis
Candidates reported that the CBSE Class 10 English exam was comparativley easy. There were competency-based questions from the syllabus. There were a few tricky questions, but overall the Comprehension and Grammar sections were straighforward.
CBSE Class 12 Entrepreneurship paper was moderate and based on the CBSE sample paper. There were some simple, easy to answer questions and some tricky questions.

CBSE Passing Marks 2025
Students have to score 33% in each subject and overall to pass the CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 exam. Also, a candidate must obtain 33% marks in theory and 33% marks in practical separately in addition to 33% marks in aggregate in order to qualify in that subject.

Exam Timings:
- Exams will be conducted between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM.
- Students will be provided with 15 minutes extra to read the question paper.
Dress Code:
- School Students: Required to wear their school uniform.
- Private Candidates: Must wear light clothing.
Permitted Items:
- Transparent pouch, geometry/pencil box, blue/royal blue ink pens, ballpoint/gel pen, scale, writing pad, eraser
- Admit card, school ID, government ID (for private candidates)
- Clear water bottle, analogue watch, metro card, bus pass, money
Admit Card:
- Regular students are required to take their admit cards from their respective schools.
- Private candidates can download their admit cards from the Pariksha Sangam Portal (cbse.gov.in).

- CCTV surveillance will be available at all exam centers for conducting fair examinations.
Prohibited Items:
- No mobile phones, smartwatches, electronic devices, or unauthorised materials are permitted within the exam hall.
- Text (printed or written), Calculator (except for students with dyscalculia), Log table (provided by centre)
